Loving every minute of it.

The only thing I can think is that Stains wanted an Australian Assistant coach to take over a Super League Team (wonder where they got that idea from). As they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Pity they have got it so wrong.

I think some people are jumping the gun a bit. Saints didn't look so bad against us on the opening day, did they?! Then they thrashed Salford, and lost narrowly to a very good Wolves team.
OK, they've limped a bit since then, with an unconvincing win against Catalans, and the loss last night to Quins (when they were very poor by all reports), but I can't see them playing like that every week, can you? They've still got some of the best players in SL, and if they can get Eastmond firing again (or someone else for that matter), then they'll still be challengers. Don't forget they've still got Roby - who may not give the team the pyschological boost that Cunningham did, but he's still easily the best hooker in SL (and was last year too).
Don't get me wrong, I won't be shedding any tears if they do fall apart - it's just that that's not what's happening - not yet anyway. This could easily turn out just to be a blip.

| I think the clubs main priority over the past few years has been off the field, and it won't be until saints are in their new ground next year that they will properly start to rebuild and I think they are planning ahead to next year and beyond.
In saying that, the last couple of performances have been poor and Eastmond seems to be a distraction more than a help generally.

| Even though I like the Saints getting some jip. I fear that their fan base might not recover like ours did.
Saints fans are few and fickle at the best of times, until they play us, then they appear out of the woodwork. A few more defeats like last nights and crowds of 2,000 might be the norm at Widnes.

That's not going to happen.
Remember that less than 1% of the crowd last night were away fans, and not many people would have bought tickets for the game.
ST Holders plus away fans will keep their average above what we saw on Friday.

I hope your right. Even though I revel in our rivalry, it would be a great shame if anything serious happened to the Saints. Not good for Rugby League.

Maybe but 3 or 4 seasons of them languishing at the bottom of the table wouldnt go amiss
I am remembering the glee from Stains fans, personal friends of mine, when we were getting beat 70-0 and 75-0 under Millward.
I am looking forward to payback

Of course. We remembered the 80s and early 90s so that was payback for us.

Have the admission prices been set for the new stadium? it appears from reading the threads on various forums that many Saints fans are upset about the £26 to sit in the touchline stands.

Wigan RLFC circa 1999 - 2005 written allover it.
We told your lot that you'd be the last to see this happening to you because we didn't see it happening to us.

No. Or at least not for walk ups. Those fans who opted for a season ticket this year (either the five year or one year) know their admission prices for the new stadium. But what the walk up price will be no-one has dared to say yet!

Walk up prices at Widnes are £25 for adults, £19 for concessions but fans can get £3 off each if they buy in advance of matchday. However, that is a significant rise in price from Knowsley Road walk up. I would imagine it reflects the cost to the club of renting the stands (I believe Saints rent stands rather than the whole stadium).

Correct. I then proceeded to have a disagreement with one of the 'mo is god' crew.
Worst day of my sporting life without doubt
