| he deffinately had a top game and also puts himself about and got through alot of work!looks a top signing! im still in two minds whether it was actually him or tuson who put the shot on hodgeson in the 2nd half. from my view it looked as if it was tuson!

| If there isn't room for all 3 of Tuson, Farrell and Mossop in the 17 against Saints I wouldnt fancy being the one to decide who to leave out. Thought they were all excellent tonight. If Gleeson isn't back for Magic then I would definitely say Charnley is in line for a starting place on the wing. Don't think Carmont on the wing works as well and still unsure of Marsh's decision making both in attack and defence.

He definitely didnt have a bad game, I just think Charnely seems the one more ready to play SL week in week out. In attack, I think Marsh holds on to the ball a little too long allowing covering defenders to plug gaps, in defense I think he shows too much space outside him. He can get away with it because hes very quick but his positioning does allow teams to create overlaps. A lot of tries have been scored down that side when Marsh plays at centre.

| Lima is up for it big time!
That hit on Hodgson was awesome, no wonder he went straight off. Credit to him for getting up! Tackle of the night was that!

A big well done to Marsh tonight. I thought it was his best display in a Wigan shirt so far especially in defence. He worked his rocks off in defence and along with Goulding did very well to keep that Wire left side attack at bay for long periods.
As for Lima the mans going to be a Wigan ledgend! He's a character thats for sure and his engine and workrate is fantastic. He looked like a caged animal when he came out for the kick off and was soon flying about. The hit on Hodgson was cruel.

| Tommys hit on Matt King was a pearler. King got up and looked around to see what had hit him.
Wire looked much better with King at centre
Overall a good workout for both teams, and Lima does look to be an inspired signing. It was good too see Roberts looking very sharp again.

Without doubt. I thought he looked really sharp at Salford and as he gets more confidence in that knee i'm sure we'll see the barnstorming Roberts of last year again.
An attack containing Roberts and Sam Tomkins linking on the back of good work from guys like Leuluai and Lockers is a fantastic prospect.

It won't sit well with a lot of people but if Maguire does pick the players on form he would find a place for all in the 17, we need to pick form players straight away IMO because we have the WCC in four weeks. Loads will disagree and I'm not trying to have a go at Hoffman but I'd pick a form team and go with this for Saints:
FB 19 Roberts
RW 2 Goulding
RC 3 Gleeson
LC 4 Carmont
LW 25 Charnley
SO 1 Sam
SH 6 Deacon
P 15 Lima
H 7 Leulai
P 14 Prescott
SR 22 Farrell
SR 12 Joel
LF 13 O'Loughlin
S 9 McIllorum
S 10 Coley
S 21 Mossop
S 23 Tuson
If Gleeson's still injured then play Fielden on the bench, McIllorum at hooker for 80, Leuluai at SH, Deacon at SO, Sam at FB, Roberts at LW and Charnley at RC.

Hoffman was strong tonight and is a certain starter in Cardiff imo. I thought Liam Farrell was our best player tonight and going off form he would probably just edge Joel Tomkins for a starting place. The funny thing is Joels been excellent in pre season aswell and to say he shouldn't be starting seems crazy.
The backrow options are so good it's untrue.
