They used to have one between the late 80s/early 90s. They played them outside the heartlands. For a few years it was on the Isle of Man, whilst other venues included Anfield, Gateshead, Swansea and Dublin.
I don't think it'd really work in January. |

its loop-hole advertising, tbf, wire v wigan doesnt need much advertising does it, but the attempt to sell tickets doesnt warrant the rubbish some of the wigan fans have been spouting!
and to whoever mentioned the charity shield for rugby, i think it would be a great idea, as i mentioned in recent discussion with martin offiah, who mentioned he was going to try and push it through with sky.

I agree with you that it doesn't need much advertising. but it still makes out your something your not (even you agree its not what you'd call yourselves!) which I think is what made most Wigan fans question it |
