One of my favourites is when a ref called Cowie over after something had gone on a few moments earlier. He asks Cowie "are you 8?" talking about the number on his back.
Cowie replies "no im 21" and the ref sends him away telling him that he is looking for no 8. Cowie walks off with a big smile on his face.
