| Our back row is very strong next year, Joel, Hoffman, Lockers and Hansen must be the first choice 4 next year ( inclusive of one on the bench) then we have Mossop, Faz and Tuson as back ups.
There will inevitably be periods where players are out injured, just like this year.
I can see maybe 1 of those going out on a moths rolling loan at the begining of the year.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

I think we may see an 80 minute hooker next year in some games, the impact hooker is becoming less useful IMO and the extra spot on the bench for a forward will be massive.

Instead of who? With a full squad available I doubt he will be in the 17.

| Farrell could well be in front of Mossop after 2010 season.
Perhaps the loanees could be Tuson, Phelps, Pryce and O'Carroll.

I would have real issues with re-signing an overseas player just to loan him out. If he isnt good enough to be in 17, which he isnt, then he shouldnt be retained imo.

| Marsh, Davies, Tuson and Mellor for me
All to get used to playing week in week out in SL.
Tuson is too far down the pecking order (Joel, Hoffman, Lockers, Hansen, (Hock), Farrell, Mossop) to play so sending him on loan would be the best thing for him.

Prop instead of Prescott for my money. I know Prescott had a big two games at the end of the year but Mossop was great for much longer before he got injured.

Charnley instead of one of them and I'd take that

If only he didn't knock himself out every week.

I could understand where you were coming from if he hadn't put those massive performances in, but he was probably the best prop on the field in the Leeds semi and we would be crazy to let him go now as all the hard work seems to be finally paying off..

| If this turned out to be true would they play when Wigan play Quins? IL seems to prefer to prevent players loaned out from playing against wigan. Would Quins agree to loosing 4 players for games against Wigan or would we let them play?

I think Mossop needs to up his game, personally I think a 5 year contract was too long, for a player not guaranteed significant first team action. For me, in no way shape or form on his form of last year should he get a place ahead of Farrell, who was outstanding .
Prescott is certainly worth his shirt over Mossop up front and we also have to remember Hock will be returning at some point.
I could handle Pryce going on loan if he was guaranteed first team rugby at another club, and as some have said re Phelps to use a quota spot on a player destined for a loan deal would be criminal.

Mossop was outstanding last year. He was just very unfortunate with injuries.

| To be honest our second string could probably beat Quins anyway. A sad state of affairs if they are becoming a feeder club, but I for one would not turn them down. The chance to give ouryoung players SL experience whilst we take all the trophies is fine by me
O'Carroll, Charnley, Pryce, Marsh, Mellor, Tuson, Davies and maybe Mossop would be the main candidates for me.
Loaning Phelps would be an utter waste, he should be snapped up on a 1-2 year contract by any team outside the top 8 really.
The extent of his coaching is ''BASH EM, JUST F*CKING BASH EM. HE'S LOW ON CONFIDENCE, BASH HIM''

....
That would make Wigan strong favourites then. With Ratchford at FB and Patton with Cronk in the halves, I think we'll do very well without Sam.[/quote:8f22o6ue]: |

i agree. i thought he was playing very well. MM had some problems with his defence, enough to drop him once or twice, but overall i thought he was one of our top players at the start of the season.
