If we talk about the all time greats then Charlie Seeling has to be there right up around the top of the list, what about Lance Todd too?
Lance Todd signed for Wigan then left to join the ANZAC forces in the first world war, fought at Gallipoli, then re-joined Wigan after the war.
Agree with most of the names mentioned and difficult to pick out one.
Going for just one I'd say Frano Botica, truly the finest goal kicker most people have ever seen.

Mean Dean just pips it for me. The only downside was the stick from other fans for having 'Bell' on the back of my shirt.
Closely followed by Paul, Botica and Kevin Iro. Tommy might be right up there if he continues to play the way he has been.

I take it you weren't aware that Doc Murray was a Kiwi!
Always felt sorry for Vaealiki in some ways. He was class when we signed him and then he suffered a career threatening injury shortly after from which he never recovered. |
