I used to always think that these type of threads were unfair, I don’t think Phil Clarke is particularly biased towards us, yes he’s bigged us up big time this season, but that because he thinks we are the best side, he always bigged up Stains / Leeds / Bradford in the past when they were the best teams and rightly so.

I did think that Wiganers were looking at Eddie and Stevo’s commentary and being harsh as they try to be neutral, but I can’t defend Eddie anymore. The whole sky presentation revolved around it being Cunningham’s last game. Yes, he was a true great of the game and you could see the respect all players gave him during the handshakes at the end of the game. As far as Eddie was concerned you could tell his disappointment at us spoiling the ‘fairytale’ ending for KC’s career. You’d think we were party poopers and not champions, any credit he gave us was definitely through gritted teeth.

In Hemming's defence, I still think he is the best 'commentator' of the game around at the moment. Much better than my alter ego, it has to be said. His 'punditry' is a different matter and yes he does let his antipathy to Wigan show too easily. But it just adds to the entertainment value as far as I am concerned.

You could really tell that Eddie hated, not just winning Wigan winning, but the manner in which they won.
