I would have swapped them last year, but Stu's got better and Graham has got worse since then.

I think Stu was looking for his family who were sat in the North Stand 2nd tier. Sat behind me so it looked like he was just staring me out for ages

You could tell he was estatic on Saturday, especially singing 'We are the Champions' to the fans

I think MacBlondie was complimenting Fielden and saying he would replace Graham with Fielden for Saints.

I've stood by Stu through thick and thin on here, good to see him finally getting the credit he deserves. Stu's biggest problem was that he used to be so good, that even when he was performing fine and doing his job, he'd get singled out and attacked for being 'gash'.

Now he's always been the first to admit that he wasn't happy with his form the past few years (because he sets himself such high standards), but I think a lot of the stick he was taking was totally out of order. It's good to see him having his time in the sun again, because some of the stick he was getting in the past really got to him.

Well done lad, a nicer, more professional guy and rugby league player, you will not meet.

I actually wouldn't swap him for any other forward in SL, because I don't think there's anybody else who could have carried the workload he's done (the unglamorous stuff), through so much grief and personal difficulty, and just kept on with the job.

I think that the reasons behind his improvement can be split into two:

He's in a better frame of mind, he's enjoying his rugby again.
A change of coach.

C'mon, you wouldn't swap a 31 year old Fielden for a 25 year old Graham?
