so glad that no-one tried to merge US with Hull FC it sounds like we had a lucky escape there!
Get real mate we were never going to get merged but our financial situation was desperate, our stadium is now a supermarket, we were humiliated by our rivals two weeks in a row, we had a succession of what could only be described as poor players, the club itself was desperately mis-managed to the point where we could have been disaserously relegated.
These things are all relative, may not seem such a big deal to smaller clubs who have had their own fair share of problems but to Wigan the last 10 years has probably been the worst sustained period in the clubs history and I for one am not the least bit ashamed or embarassed to say the club HAS been through alot and I'm very proud to see us finally turn the corner.

As an aside - nice to see the big lancs teams occupying the top three - hopefully an all lancs affair at OT in the pipeline for the first time since 2000. Same result would be nice too!
