| Dave, you've posted some cr@p in your time, but to suggest that Pryce was outplayed by a player on the opposite side of the field is taking to to extremes. Surely he outplayed Richards his opposite number.
Do you think that Pryce outplayed his winger Hodgson?
Famous,
David Hodgson is Superleagues second top try scorer behind Pat Richards.

| I still don't know where we should play him. He's too slow for wing or centre, and too lazy for second row.
I think Brian Carney summed him up well when we forced that drop-out with the kick to Dodgy, and he was 10 yards behind Marsh on the chase. (no doubt Rogues will point out, quite correctly, that he got there eventually...).
And where he was wandering off to when Robinson scored is anyone's guess. Did he forget which wing he was playing on?

So you think he is a good player? I dont and as Cudjoe is also near the top then I would say it is more to do with the way that Huddersfield play. If I dont think that Pryce's 13 tries in 9 games makes him a good player I certainly dont buy into that argument with Hodgson.
Yesterday Hodgson was very dodgy under 2 kicks, one resulting in a try and the other almost doing. He is also no where near as quick as he was at Wigan. At various times yesterday he also lacked the confidence to back himself. Based on this and other times I have seen him this year I dont think he is any better.

| That Pryce isn't everyone's cup of tea is obvious but why should he be?
He has been 18th man for the past number of games therefore hasn't played 1st team not U20s. He's not played for weeks. He was 18th man last night and when Goulding pulled up in the warm up he went out there.
He did ok for me against a form wingman. Our trouble was that we were missing Roberts, Gleeson, Goulding and lost Carmont during the game. Joel went to left centre when he plays all his rugby on the right side.
In the 2nd half when Hudds spread the ball wide we were all over the place.
Marsh and Joel both struggled at centre. On their right Lawrence and Cudjoe had a field day. Two lads who have height, power and pace.
Having said that is we only had a 56% completion rate then it's no wonder we lost. That is down to the team not one or two men.
As far as Pryce's long term future is concerned, there is no point if he is not going to be played and is used as a player of last resort, as yesterday. If it is true Bradford have offered him a 2 year deal then he will probably go back.

| Just one question -why is Charnley still at at HKR when we were so woefully weak in the centre positions yesterday?

Because we only had one centre out and Charnley obviously wasnt going to get picked. Marsh has been the first choice back up all season and was chosen to replace Gleeson.

| For what it's worth I thought during the game we should have switched Pryce to centre and Marsh to the wing. I don't think Pryce was doing that badly but his lack of pace was quite worrying at times. After Marsh bombed what would have been a simple walk in try had he passed to Pryce I thought we'd have been much better off having someone with decent handling and a bit of size in the centres and someone with Marsh's pace on the wing.
As for Pryce's defence, they were trying the little kicks to the corner trying to turn him round. No one can claim Pryce is going to trouble anyone for pace but to be honest nearly any winger would struggle to deal with kicks in behind when they have to turn and chase the ball. The winger always has the advantage. Goulding has struggled with those before, as has Pat Richards.
However, they used that tactic against us in the previous games as well. That time Goulding dropped back 5 to 10 yards on the 4th and 5th tackles and dealt with the kicks easily. I think some of our players weren't thinking about defence and were too focused on how they were going to attack.
I personally think Pryce is too slow for a winger. There's no doubting that Pryce can do very well there. With his height and size there is plenty about him that can trouble a defence, but I just don't see him being able to cement a place in the side on the wing. I do think centre would suit him better, but it would probably need a run of a few games in that position to really get him up to speed. I don't see him being favoured over Charnley in that position though.

| My opinion is if we let Price go to another Super League club he will not come back to haunt us.

You know exactly what I meant and so does everybody else. Their big right wing was better than our big right wing. He made breaks against a better player than Pryce faced on his side of the pitch at looked 10 times more threatening. I draw your attention to him because he is of similar build to Pryce but far more mobile and threatening.

No. Do you?

| I wouldn't be too disappointed if we were to let Pryce go. I'd say he's been fairly solid, but we have better players in his position.

| I dont think Pryce is a rugby player. He is simply a big lad with bags of unfufilled potential
Sadly i dont think he will ever reach his potential, thats why i think we should let him go

| Josh Charnley played very good yesterday a Salford he scored a try and took Salford on at speed and his defence excellent.
Why was Marsh or Pryce picked instead of Charnley i dont no seeing Charnley has played 5 Super League games and has scored in 3 of the games ????

Hodgson the best finisher in the game?
The cover tackles Pryce had to make were because he was caught out of position. He shouldn't have had to make them in the first place and it put unnecessary pressure on the side & gave Huddersfield great field position.
