| To be fair he's quoted on sprotinglife saying this:
"All in all I just thought we lost the ruck area a little bit, they are very strong in that area.
"They are very strong in the wrestle and we lost quite a bit of possession there, trying to get up and play the ball quicker, through poor technique and poor grip.
"It's something we've got to practise, it's par for the course, we'll make sure we get better at it too."
That sounds like a critisism of Leeds rather than a dig at Wigan.

| Wonder if Wane went on report and said he needs to send out his team to take out by any means fair or foul the key opposition players.

| TBH, McLennan's interview smacked of "shoulda, woulda, coulda".
Rather than looking at our tackling technique and talking about employing a Wrestling coach, he should - if the RFL employs any sense of fair play following Andy Coley's two match ban following the game at Catalans - be looking at the structure of his team without Ablett and Bailey for the Challenge Cup semi.

| McLennan's interview was poor.
His defence of Ablett in particular was a disgrace. He should have said nothing given that the hearings have yet to take place. He seemed to be implying that Ablett didn't even foul Tomkins. Ridiculous.
As for his wrestling references, these just made him seem bitter and a poor loser. Wigan were much better on the night and his side's poor discipline and violent conduct showed that they knew they couldn't cope with Wigan's powerful and mobile defence.

| TBH.... I got the impression from the interview that he saw it as a area they need to look at and address because they were completely controlled in that area.
I think he sees the "wrestle" as an area he needs to do at Leeds... Because like it or like it not... there is nothing wrong with our technique and the RFL can't do anything about it... so you either complain about it, like many other coaches have this year, or you implement it yourself and I think that is were Brian is coming from..
IMO he was totally wrong regarding the abblett incident and maybe on viewing it again he will see it somewhat differently!!

| I don't think your "wrestling" is that bad to be honest. It's the "loosening" the ball in the tackle that winds me up. Full credit to your coach and players for getting away with so much.

| Leeds don,t show any sportsmanship whatsoever, McLennan always throws in a snide comment when they lose. They have been getting away with dirty tactics and controversial decisions for a couple of seasons now. Why can't they accept they were just beaten by a better team and there dirty tactics didn't work.

I've got to be honest and say when I watched the interview on the internet late last night and it was fine. I didn't think he said anything against us and actually gave us quite abit of praise(he was wrong to back Ablett mind).
The Leeds club(bar maybe McLennan) still needs to come down a peg or 2 though.

Leeds have been using that technique for quite a few years now, probably why they have been so successful. Always said that if you can play the rules that well, it should be congratulated. They should really know how to stop a team doing it to them.

| Is he having a pop at your tactics or is he complementing them and how you won the match?
