| Prescott isn't that bad wioth ball retention. The problem is that he tends to save his errors for big moments in tight games so they stick out like a sore thumb. In the cakewalk we had aginst Salford the week before Wire his handling was pretty much faultless

| He is a squad player at best, he doesnt excel in any area and i cant see him ever being asked to represent England (although he pretends to be Irish) or GB. I would keep him over players like Fielden every day of the week, but if the likes of Ben Davies and Mossop are coming through with Hock's return, Lima's arrival and an in form Coley, i imagine he may have to settle for a few u20's games next year.

| You might not value the fact that he is home grown and gives as much as Fielden for, i imagine much less money, but i do.

| O Carroll would go before PP for me. 4th and maybe 5th choice prop next year. Great strength in depth.

firstly his wage is going down next year. Secondly last time I looked, a while ago admittedly, he had made far more tackles, marker tackles, yards, offloads and busts. I would always take a homegrown player as a preference if they are somewhere near comparable but unless something has changed significantly without being evident on the pitch Fielden is considerably better in the majority of areas you'd expect from a prop

| I should hope his wage is going down next year as i imagine he has been one of if not our biggest earners. And has he really made 3 x the busts Morley has.
Fielden is 31 and our most experienced prop yet he was clearly bullied in the game last week. I dont care what stats he has to show if he cant hold his own with the best forwards in the league then he needs to change clubs.

tbh if any club goes goes against wire with only 2 props then there gonna struggle. the point im trying to make is he cant do it all on his own.im not saying we'd have beat wire if coley had played but he would have taken some of the work away from fielden.

I'm very confident Wigan would have won against Warrington if Coley and Micky Mac had been playing. I know Warrington had a few injuries too, ( Higham and Bridge), but they were less crucial.
The bottom line is the Wigan pack was outmuscled -we might still have won with a bit more luck and help ( rather than poor decisions) from the ref and VR.
Wigan showed they can beat Warrington with a full strength pack as they did in February - hopefully they can do the same in the Play Offs.
I'm even more confident next year!

I am soooooo tired of this 'bullied' statement.
Take pretty much any prop in the game.
Have them take hit ups against a defence fully targetting him with 3-4 players putting everything they've got every hit up because they know the strength isn't there on the bench to replace him. Make that defence be of the size/power of Morley, Carvell, Harrison, Westwood etc.
Watch basically the same result as Friday. I'm pretty confident if you'd swapped Morley and Fielden in the two teams, the same would have happened to Morley.

| For me I'd release PP and Eo'C when their contracts are up and bring in one more prop with Ben Davies moving up into the first team. I just don't think PP or Eo'C are the type of players needed to win silverware.

I think for me it currently depends on the Coley/Fielden contract situation, and whether or not Paul want's to be a Rugby League player for the next X years (i'm not suggesting he doesn't, merely that he's obviously got other options).

I agree. Prescott has a lot more potential in my opinion.
