Quote: Tricky Dicky "Tommy leaves a lot to be desired at times as a 7. Our inability to open up defences at times last season despite having sustained periods of pressure in opposition teritory cost us dear. Tommy is not a creative 7 and this is what we have desperately needed. Deacon will move the side around the park and dictate the direction of the game, something i very rarely seen Tommy do.
Also our kicking game at times last year was non existant. Deacon has the track record to fix that.'"
I still feel under Noble we lacked options, give any half an option or 2 and then you will see how good he is, that is why i am looking forward to seeing what he is capable of under his new coach.
We added wide options last year and it worked we started to score tries, but our midfield options were still non existent, simply one out running, this ensured that both Tomkins and TL had to rely on there own line breaks to get anything started in the middle of the park.
Look at Briers, under every good coach he has played under he has looked like a world beater at times due to the options and his ability to pick a pass, put him under Lowes and he becomes a spectator.
