| I reckon you will make the 8, how high will depend more on injuries, bounce of the ball etc

| I think that we have to be at least top 4. I see that MM has stated that he will not set any goals until he has at least seen the run out against Saints, but for us to be serious contenders in 2011 for the title we need to have a good solid top 4 finish at least in 2010.
I am encouraged by the comments out of the camp regarding the players being back in training and doing 3 sessions a day. Hopefully that means that come kick off in February the players are out of the blocks quickly and can get a number of wins under their belts. We have to be totally focused on getting off to a good solid winning start and importantly we have to ensure that we are very difficult to beat at home in 2010. Good home form is a must. I also dont think that the fixture list (with the greatest of respect to the other teams) has been too unkind to us early doors. Therefore there should be no excuses from the players.

| I genuinly think we'll finish top 2, below Leeds. I think everything seems to be in place for a good season, saints wont be as strong as last season.

| Top 4 is my cautiously optimistic prediction. It should be a better standard than previous years, a number of teams look strong.

39110_1363272058.jpg Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good
-
sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league
-
Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate
-
the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever
-
Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go
-
Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know

| Depends how Warrington, Saints, Catalans and Leeds do as they IMO have the best teams on paper and the most potential along with us.
It also depends hos Hull KR and Hudds do to see if they overachieved last year.
I personally think top 4 and if saints drop a bit and we can win head to heads against teams around us we can do 2nd or 3rd.

| I suggest top 4 is definitely achievement and with a bit of luck & consistency top 2 could be a possilbility

| Hopefully top 4, I think Saints will have a indifferant year this season. I see a big year for us, Wire & Leeds. Saints will probably come in the top 4 as well. But I also think Rovers & Giants will be strong this year. If we can be consistant we will have a good season.

This is the reason it could really be a close, exciting year. In addition to the teams you mention, Catalan will be a major threat, whilst Hull, Bradford and Wakefield should be significantly better than last season. Only really Quins, Salford and Celtic who seem to be lacking - everyone else look decent.

| We'll be 4th-6th again imo.
We have a side that can hold it's own against anyone but probably misses a couple of top draw players to push us into the top 2.
Maybe McGuire can develop a couple of players into that and if he does we'll not be a million miles off winning something.

What makes you think that? We were awful for much of last year.
All the young players a year older, Eastmond in for an ageing and struggling Long, Soliola in for an ageing Gilmour, Fozzard in as an additional prop (Cayless hasn't been fully fit for the best part of 2 seasons), Moore added to the squad, Maggennis finally back in training (watch out for him this year), Puletua settled in.
If anything, we look stronger IMO, especially in the forward stakes, and we'll carry some biff up front again.
I genuinely think we will win it next uyear, or at least lose in the final (again!!)

And a lot of the older players another year older!
It's only his opinion (And hope probably!).

Motivation seemed to be a problem for the majority of last year for Saints and alot will depend on how that gets sorted out. There just seemed to be a lack of harmony around the place.
I'd worry a touch if I were a Saints fan about a lack of direction from the halfs because even though both are really dangerous players i don't see them being able to control a game. If Cunningham(or Moore) has a good year and gets the team moving about theres no doubt theres enough size in the forwards and danger in the backs to beat most sides.

| I can see Leeds topping the table and Saints finishing second again. Then unfortunatly and as much as i hate to say it i can see Warrington finishing 3rd. I then think your looking at us, Hull KR and possibaly Catalans fighting for 4th. It all really depends on the start we make

If we get a 50/50 start in say the first 12 games and then have a similar last 15 games as the last couple of seasons and we'll be looking at 3rd place.
Our starts have been appaling in the last couple of years.
If we get off to a better then 50% winning start then we might be able to aim even higher. One things for sure these lads know how to string a second half of the season together.

I don't buy into this thing of feeling that you'll drastically drop of the pace this year, however I think you'll suffer the worst when Cunningham retires.
A Saints side with Keiron on the pitch is a far more dangerous and fearsome sight than a Saints side without him. The guidance and creativity that has got Saints out of so many tight corners will disappear with the retirement of Cunningham.
Overcoming his loss is the biggest hurdle Saints will face.
