| Can't compare the two
Dallas right winger, Richards left wing or full back
Specialist finisher, or solid utility player
How about comparing Phelps / Panapa or even Ged Byrne

| I'd have Dallas back now in place of Roberts.

| Dallas was also a superb defender, same cant be said for Pat, while he has improved and is now pretty good he still has his losses of concentration, Dallas seemed 100% week in week out.

| Anyone know what Dallas is up to these days? Could always get him in as an outside backs coach.

| Well to pose the question differently...who would you choose if they were both in the same squad where Farrell was the kicker. It's a no brainer for me. Dallas all the way.

They only played 6 games on opposite wings that season.
I just think if you could fuse the two together you have a perfect winger. Strength, speed and aerial ability would all be covered.
Sam has got all the plaudits for the player of the year award, and rightly so, but Pat has been excellent for scoring tries this season. 23 tries is our best return since Dallas himself scored 24 in 2004. I just think considering pace is not Pat's biggest attribute, thats an excellent return.
Millward may have had a terrible reign here at Wigan but we have to thank him for signing Paaat. He had only kicked 3 goals in his career then, so it wasn't goal kicking he saw and the signing came quite a few months before he would end 2005 with an NRL Grand Final ring. But given his age it's proven to be the best bit of buisness this club has done for quite a few years.

I know what you mean but I just think Dallas (for a good chunk of his Wigan career) had Radlinski, Farrell, Lam, Robinson, Renouf, Newton, Connolly type players to feed off. Pat doesn't have anywhere near that kind of standard.

| It is difficult to compare the two fairly as Pat can kick goals and Brett couldn't.
In a situation where we can only sign one or the other:-
With Roberts & Riddell as our best kickers = Pat Richards
With a recognised kicker in the squad already = Brett Dallas
But I would prefer to be like a spoilt child at Christmas and have both
Looking at the list of strike rates I had to laugh when I saw Jordan James at number 19

| Personally Dallas.
I want my wingers to score a try when they are put through a gap through pace and a step.
Richards is a solid enough winger (and deceptively quick) but not a patch on Dallas imo.
Take the now too common cross field kick out of the equation and his record would be much worse.
Good kicker though.

| Those stats for Offiah look a bit dubious - 12 tries in 10 games? Or is that just Wembley appearances?! He scored 10 just in that 1 game against Leeds!

| I prefer Dallas, he can create something out of nothing, one day I hope to be speaking so highly of Ainscough, he can create something out of nothing too. Richards is an awesome finisher though.
