agreed, the extension was not deserved, or justified.

Depends who was available, Nathan Brown straight from the top of my head. Tony Smith, Steve Folks, Graham Murray etc etc etc.

Folks/Murray showed no interest in the UK. Folkes is working in Cricket now isn't he?
Smith wanted £££ hence Warrington.
Yeah, we could have gone for Brown, but Noble had a at least equal if not better season?

Folks is back in rugby league, why did Murray show no interest in the UK?
Smith wanted ££££££ he took a gash team to Cup winnners so not sure what the point is, we have no cap on a coach.
Brown has a far superior coached team to Noble in my opinion.

Is he? Was he in cricket or did i dream that? I remember readin something in an interview when it was the leeds reunion that he wasn't interested in a return.
Speak to our chairman, its clear he doesnt like people who want ££££
But was the success not similar this year?

He was conditioning coach for West Indies cricket, now at West Tigers as Performance Manager.
Second statement is total speculation.
Hudds have had a far superior season to Wigan in 2009.
Off to bed now, hope you reconsider on a few personal opinions you have thrown out tonight.
Wonder if IL wins us a SL title he will get the credit for making the decisions that got us there?

IL has a lot to prove imo.
I am really concerned about him.

| Quote: superant1982uk "It has been confirmed what we have know for months that Brian Noble is leaving us. I just want to say thank you to Brian for all the hard work he and his staff have put in over the past few seasons. He saved us from relegation and got us to four semi finals. Most other clubs would love that record.
I would also like to say thank you to Brian Foley. He has helped us produce some of the finest talent in rugby league.
It is sad that both have to go out this way but will always be remebered well in my heart.
On a final note us Wiganers have several reasons to be happy this season. We have had the likes of Tompkins and Ainscough come through and show what they can do. We have won the reserve grand final, got to the grand final of the under 18s. We can hold our heads high around town knowing that our club is heading in the right direction. under Ian Lenegan and our new coach we can only head forwards and over the next few seasons we will bring trophies home for us fans.. Well done Wigan. We are proud of you.'"
You have thanked Noble and highlighed his biggest weakness - he didn't bring Sam thro' until he had no choice when Smith was injured and has given Ainscough - league's leading scorer at the time - no game time since June. Watching the game I felt that Ainscough could just have given us that little extra 1% which could have swung the game our way.

| Thanks Brian
The fact you were only told last week is an awful way to be treated. For the job he's done he should have been treated with respect. IL should have been honest and upfront with him, I'm sure Noble would have appreciated it.

| Thanks Brian you will always be remembered as the coach who got us out of the mess we was in when you joined the club,I personally thought you was taking us in the right direction and maybe next season we would win some silverware.
Hope which ever club you go to realises what a good coach they are getting

| Cheers Nobby, we have definitely moved forward since 2006 and I appreciate all your hard work that you've put in. Not only to the first team but with the youngsters to, with a limited squad compared to others you have done better than expected in getting us to the semi finals, if only in one of them we could have got to a final who knows. It is time for a change I think and I wish you good luck at your next job wherever that is and you'll always get a warm reception back at Wigan on your return with whichever club it will be.

| Thanks Brian for everything you have done at Wigan. Keeping us up in 2006 and moving the club forward again. IMO you've took us as far as you could and I agree with IL's decision that it is time for a change.
Nice touch at the end of the game saying we were the number one fans. All the best at Celtic Crusaders.
