Phil Clarke backed Rovers before the game on the back of been the home side.
Clarke also stated Rovers wouldnt come back and score long range tries. Rather then bag him surely you must admit the guy was spot on with what he said tonight as he usually is throughout the season regardless of whether Wigan are playin or not?

We all know that Hemmings is a gimp who hates Wigan doing well but Clarky is a Wigan lad who represented the club magnificently. Of course he has an affinity towards Wigan but its no more than you would expect! He's the most knowledgeable commentator that Sky have and love listening to his analysis. The man talks sense!

I bet as a Pair there's not many clubs who have a Pair of 1st choice wingers that would beat them over the Length of the field.

And I don't recall either beating anyone on pace alone I think Richards has done a long range try once or maybe twice this season given a start. Roberts has not scored one such try and I don't think either of them have left anyone for dead. And before anyone says "you can't expect Martin Offiah pace anymore" these two are not as fast as Mark Preston, Henderson Gill, Brett Dallas or even - dare I mention his name, Mark Calderwood. There is no substitute for pace.
