Some Salford fan said to me and I quote "You are by far and away the most Handsome & Knowledgeable Rugby League Fan in England!"
I thanked him and went on my Merry way!

Our attack was very poor and out I think I would remove TL form your list of players who did well as I thought he was anonymous most of the game (particularly the first half) which contributed to our one dimensional attack .
ME & DAVEO IN AGREEMENT SHOCKER!

Carmont, Roberts and Lockers were my top three. Lockers would probably be number pone if he hadn't dropped that ball over the lone in the first half.
I would add Prescott & Coley to that as well, thought they both played well and made good yards on collision!

| Quote: giwildgo "As far as Fielden is concerned, I'd agree - it doesn't fit with the general agenda on here because of his speculated wages, but he made plenty yards, was getting quick play the balls and put in a lot of work in the tackle. Together with Prescott, he was the pick of the forwards by doing a lot of the thankless work last night and laying the platform for a canter despite a misfiring attack. Feka will get the plaudits on a superficial level for his half breaks and offloads, but the hard work and graft in the team is elsewhere.'"
I'm glad that there are some fans who actually do watch the game, I was also impressed with Mossop. Chuffed to bits that we have him at Wigan, he's going to be a huge player for us for years to come. Puts himself about all over the pitch and isn't afraid of anything that gets in his way.

Again I agree - the only question with Mossop is whether he is a prop or a second rower. Reminds me a little of the dilemma with Peacock at Bradford early in his career when he played on the fringes. I'd personally look for him to be Bailey's replacement in the second row next season, with a view to him moving to prop if Hock returns and we have a reshuffle in the back row. Hopefully this won't delay the progress of Farrell who looks a real talent and needs games next season. Of the current forwards, I think Hansen should be the one worried about his long term place - a good defender and hardworker, but just doesn't seem to have the attacking qualities of other options in the squad and those on the fringes.

| Hull were terrible we should have blitzed them. I thought Richard Horne and Chris Thorman were just terrible. I would hate to be a Hull FC fan.
So with that in mind that was an average performance. Sums super league up for me. Boring to watch. Flat passes again and again. The DW stadium is like a library.
I thought we still look a bit dodgy on the last tackle. An area we must improve on.
I thought our kicking game close to the line was poor AGAIN.
I think we miss Michael McIlorum. There was no spark at all from the acting half. Thomas Leuluai and Mark Riddell were anonymous last night. Usually Riddell makes the difference when he comes on but he had a VERY quiet game today.
I thought George Carmont was outstanding but I wouldn't play him next week. The game next week is not that important in context of the play offs to risk Carmont with that thigh injury. I would give Darrell Goulding a shot.
Cameron Phelps made two kicks last night and both were outstanding. If we want to take some of the pressure off Leuluai and Tomkins it shouldn't be O'loughlin it should be Phelps.
Overall dull game and not a performance that will worry any of the top four sides in the competition. We will have to be a whole lot better if we are to have any chance of reaching the Final.

We have to keep Tommy at 7 till the end of the season and get MM back in, this is part of the problem come last tackle options as where not organised enough and moving TL around etc doesn't help fluidity of the tema IMO.

Correct on McCollorum, Piggy got us going forward 1st 20 and as stated previous he did a HUGE amount of tackling 1st 25 mins!

It's a good job it isn't play off time yet then!
9 wins out of last 11 and your bound to get some flat performances now and again!
Thank God it was last night and not 2 x weeks time!

Had a sling on last time I saw him a couple of weeks ago. Not sure what he's done or how serious it is but he may not be available.

Bugger I forgot about that.
Well the only other suggestion is Karl Pryce I guess.
I would still try and give George Carmont a weeks rest before the play offs.
