| It's a difficult one who i want to win this one.
On one side you've got Warrington with their chav fans & inferiority complex and on the other side you've got the leeches of SL in Hudds. A team that offers very little to the rest of the league and game as a whole with poor crowds both home and away and their dismal record of producing any of their own players who actually go on to achieve anything in the game.
The only thing I’m concerned about in terms of this final is that it doesn’t do further damage to RL’s already poor national reputation.

Although I didn't watch the game last night, I believe Hudds gave 3-4 young players their debuts, and very very nearly beat Stains at KR. Were these lads locally produced? If so, thw slow wheels of motion may be finally turning for them, I could see the Giants quickly becoming the 2nd strongest Yorkshire team in SL behind Leeds. Though I do admit they would need to further improve attendances.

I really hope it's true but until these kids prove themselves all we can look on is their p!ss poor record to date and lets not beat around the bush it’s pretty shocking.
I really don’t mind teams picking up players like Brown or Wild when they are released by a club and bringing them into to complement the ‘stars’ they’ve already produced themselves. All teams do it we’ve done it for years. Leeds did it with the likes of Ellis and Senior, Saints with Long & Gardner and Bradford brought in Robbie Paul & Lowes etc to build a strong team. But what really is wrong, imo, is when this is all a club does and they become leeches living off other teams academies.

| If, through some misguided south Lancashire loyalty, any Wigan fan is contemplating being a Wire for the day next weekend, you only need to remember two words:
Eddie. Hemmings.
Focus your thoughts on those, and on all the cheap shots that git has taken at Wigan over the years (including last night, when he congratulated almost everyone in SL except us for their youth policy, including, laughably, both Warrington and Huddersfield), and full clarity of vision will be restored.

Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_20333.gif |

| The second rower for Huddersfield was a god un when he came on from the bench, Larne Patrick or Keale Carlisle? One of em I think
He knocked a few Saints players on their backsides when he took the ball in.

Well said why would any Wigan fan want to cheer for Dire, would they do it for us if we had of got into the final. I don`t think so infact I think the the person who started this has got off fairly lightly imagine the abuse you would get if you went on the Dire board asking them for support

12324.jpg Best Wigan No7 ever
Terry Newton Wigan legend RIP:12324.jpg |

| My only real fear about this Final is that if Wire loose and there is a very good chance of that. As Huddersfield are playing very well just now and some of there players have the experience of a CC final not that long ago. Is that the Wire fans will bring the game into disrepute having seen them fighting amongst themselves after winning at Widnes. What would happen if they do loose will it be Main Road all over again or worse.
I just hope its a good game played in the right spirit and fans of both sides and all the neutrals have a great weekend and show the world how games should be played and supported.

Wire fans are certainly past masters at letting the game down in public. The only time I ever saw fighting at Wembley was in 1990, when Wire fans started a scrap in one of the pubs before the kick-off. For the '94 John Player final at Huddersfield, there was Wire-induced Pandemonium all around and outside the ground. If memory serves, a bunch of disabled kids in wheelchairs all got beaten up for wearing Wigan colours.
With luck, the magnitude of this occasion will overwhelm those malfunctioning Warrington idiots who genuinely believe that they serve their club by inflicting violence on the innocent. If they lose, I think it's more a case that they'll be traipsing home again in a maudlin state, having to face the agonising reality that they aren't even in the play-offs, rather than causing trouble. But even if that's wrong, I'm certainly not going to hope that Wire win merely because I'm worried that their retard minority might start some aggro. If you think about it, there'd be an upside even to that - it would remind the world yet again what sort of people follow the Wire, though no doubt Eddie Hemmings will keep quiet on the subject.

29281_1270406980.jpg When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club.
We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens.
Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before.

If any of you were at the Lancashire Cup Final @ Knowsley Road in the 85-86 season you will remember scenes of mass brawling before the game outside the Kop end. Then as the final wistle went hundreds and yes I mean hundreds of Wire knuckle draggers came running over to the Kop end were most of the Wigan fans were. This was when the infamous 'Goon Squad' were still watching the rugby and my god was I glad as an 11 year old to see them scatter the Wire fans back into their own stands. It seems that the hooligan element of Wire fans have past their legacy onto their off-springs.

| Coming from an Evertonian as well as a Wigan fan I would rather sing You'll never walk alone on the Kop than ever shout for Warrington.
Thats how much i dislike them.
I'd even go as far as saying if it was Saints they was playing in the final i would have wanted Saints to win.(Please forgive me !!)
So in reply to the OP - Fartown! Fartown! Fartown!
