I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass, and I am all out of bubblegum.
Don't you struggle. Don't you fight. Don't you worry, cause it's your turn tonight!

Ainscough is in the reserves playing at his level. Not good enough for Wigan, probably never will be.'"
He's certainly good enough to play for the bulls, he'd get in front of Sheriffe and Platt for the wing spots.

I for one hope he progressess a lot quicker than Penny, he seems not to have learned or kicked on (penny), hopefully lets send Shaun out on loan and see if he kicks on because the basic mould is certainly there.
As for Roberts he needs to stay here and train in wet conditions, on a dry track he looks ok, a bit of rain he looks like a 2nd rate pub player.

Even with his errors on current form Ainscough is easily the second best wing man at the club, and as someone on here has already pointed out..had ainscough had such a shocker as roberts last night hed be in the reserves for the rest of the season, yet roberts as an 'aussie star' will escape!!!!
You don't half talk some $hite, apart from his couple of errors Roberts was again one of our better players going forward from the backline and helped make crucial field position when we looked to be struggling to get out of our own 20. Are you going to say the same for Joel Tomkins who dropped the ball 3 times at crucial times during the end? No thought not.

Exactly. Joel was just as poor as Roberts with ball in hand and as you say his errors were at very crucial times. They gave Saints the reason to hang in the game and hope they could get the winning score which they did.
This Andy Wigan RL guy seems to hate Noble and certain players and constantly just pick up on their mistakes.

Joel seems to have a problem with keeping hold of the ball alot tbh. Hes always one I notice dropping the ball in the tackle alot. Its definatley something he needs to work on

tbh if bailey is back then I would drop joel next week as he did perform poorly. Amos was half decent going forward granted but he was nothing special and as i have said before offers far less in that department than ainny and has as many, if not more, defensive failings. Therefore for me ainny or roberts is a no brainer!!

He's got pace, that's all, he's to small and is a poor defender. He wouldn't get one of the wing spots at Bradford.

| Quote: LovesToSpooge "I think you wrong buddy as far as I'm concerned the only weakness in Ainscough's game is his inability to deal with the high bomb, as for strengths yes he's got speed but also he has the strength to shrug of tackles as well as good feet to evade people, the guy will make an excellent winger once his problems with dealing with high bombs is dealt with.'"
Well we are all entitled to our opinions, and we'll find out soon enough wether he makes. Personal I think he's to small and in a game that is starting to favour big boys on the wing and rightly so in my books. Granted you are far more qualified to comment on the lad than myself, but from what I've seen of him his positioning when defending doesn't seem good enough also, and as you say he can't deal with the bombs, which in my books makes adds up to a poor defender, I think Shaun Ainscough will probably be left behind. Don't get me wrong, pace is a fantastic asset, but I think being a winger is far more than being blessed with pace these days.
Nobby knows a good winger when he see's one, and I share the same view of him that Ainscough isn't good enough.
I think he will go the same way as Kevin Penny unfortunatley.
