One of the most one eyed posts ever.
A draw would have been fair reflection.

Disagree, two mistakes (or a lucky bounce if you prefer) for the first two tries.
The one clinical piece of play was by Eastmond.
Wigan never completed any chance they created whereas Saints did.
For this alone Saints deserved two points.
Fantastic efforts by both team in defence I thought.

By replacing 2 letters with one, as so ...
The one c ynical piece of play was by Eastmond
... and you're bang on.
Using one hand to crawl over the line after your momentum has been halted is still a double-movement, even if the ball-carrying arm hasn't left the deck.

At the stadium, I thought the try was fine. But others have drawn my attention to it since, and watching it in slow motion - well, put it this way, it isn't cut and dry.

Yes it was. It would have been a double movement if the ground had been dry. In fact, he would have been stopped well short of the tryline. However, the ground was wet so he was sliding. His momentum [iwas not stopped[/i. It was one continuous movement and therefore the fact that he pushed himself along, which he so clearly did, was irrelevant. He simply kept the movement going until it ended.
The try was opportunistic, as was yours when Meli displayed his fine defensive move (not!).

When did his momentum stop?
If he can drag himself 5 yards with one arm, with a prop lying on top of him then he should be in the Mr Universe competition, never mind SL.

| The funny thing is that Prescott was on top of Eastmond and had clamped Kyles ball carrying arm, to try and prevent him from scoring. If he hadn't I think Eastmond would have been tempted to reach out and the try would probably have been wiped out.

Just found this.
The Westwood try on Saturday was disallowed for exactly the same thing.

Interesting. The only difference was kyle was sliding on a greasy surface, and his leg drive preserved his momentum somewhat in a nice smooth movement over the line.
Westwood kind of crawled, which meant a less than smooth movement, meaning that there were points when perhaps you could say momentum had stopped.
I think it was technically a try (westwood's). I'd have accepted a deceision either way tbh.
