So he'll go straight after the Warrington game.

| If Noble stays and we keep playing inconsistent garbage for the rest of the season, I wonder what the season ticket uptake will be next year... 7,500 if we're lucky

With the exception of 4 world class players, you have a lightweight squad that just don't step up when needed.
What would bringing in a new coach do now? Stick with him till the end of the season then get rid giving the new guy the off season to work with the players. Then bring in the players he would want.
Plus i really believe that they'll go for Morgan and he will come if offered the chance and there's no way he'd leave KR mid season'"
So you guys would rather have kept Cullen then, instead of Smith?
Would you have been in a cup semi, had a good run of results recently with Cullen still in charge?

You get the usual 'happy clappers' (there's a few on here). But we'd be lucky to get that..!

| Thank you Brian Noble for laying the foundations, especially after Millward ballsed everything up. However, we're ready to move on and I think you should too. Win us the Challenge cup and we'll call it quits.

That's a fair assessment really.
I'm sure any coach in the Lindsay/Robinson era would be sacked now.

| I know this has been said before by many but its too easy to blame Nobby. If he were to go now, I don't think he should, which top coach could we get at this stage of the season?? A top notch coach is what we need, not an inexperienced one.
Please, nobody suggest Wane!

I think most people will recognise the importance of Wigans selection of coach after Brian Noble and i agree that it should be somebody with expierience, however it would be very interesting to see who would actually apply for such a postion, its important that whoever is appointed actually wants the job for the right reasons and not just the money.
Personally i believe that the real quality lies in the NRL and that is where we should primarily be looking to select our next coach from, however that is not to say that there are no candidates in Superleague but i certanly cant see any English candidates at present.
I really do think that we missed a trick with not getting Nathan Brown in as coach last season but unsuprisingley Huddersfield were quick to recognise his qualities and i think his appointment has already showed some rewards for them....this was around the time that Brian Noble publically announced that he was interested in the Les Catalan job....but we offered him another year and seen no progress on the pitch and more questinable coaching decisions including recruitment.
Justin Morgan has been mentioned before and he has certanly improved Hull F.C since he joined them, he's young and has some fresh ideas but also has expierience to go with it. The question is would he want to join Wigan?

I still say Nobby is the man for the job!

My issue with Bian Noble is that he doesnt seem to know how to build a team and there is a huge difference between building a team and walking into a job where the team has already been built, Ian Millward also suffered badly in this area.
Noble still cant seem to decide his starting 13.

| Justin Morgan will not come to Wigan. Why would he leave a team on the rise for a team spiralling downwards?

| If Noble were to go I know a lot of people want an experienced coach but we want an experienced coach that isn't out of touch with the modern game. By that I mean I don't want Hagan or Murray.
The only coach I would have instead of Noble would be Edwards (Farrell Assisstant), Brian Smith, Wayne Bennett, Des Hasler, Tim Sheens, Craig Bellamy, Phil Gould, Justin Morgan, Nathan Brown. And whoever came I would give the assistant role to Shaun Wane.
I am not convinced by Adrian Lam, he is assistant at Sydney Roosters to Brad Fittler who himself is really struggling and learning and failing so not the best apprenticeship to serve for Lam. Like someone said earlier maybe taking a chance on a coach who had worked under Bennett or Smith.
