If we dont win the challenge cup, Noble without question will go.

If we do win it, there is still I feel a resonable argument to say shake him by the hand, thank him for everything but let someone else have a crack.

Im just not sure Lam is the way to go.

Lets not forget who was the coach the last time we won the GF but got sacked i think john monie was hard done to the 2nd time he came to our club. I wouldnt have lam as head coach at this stage he needs to prove he can coach ie:coach the youngsters and 2nd team just like a player work your way into the team.

Ye and a few more directors i think he could have brought more cups back had he been given the time noble has had.

Why always Noble?
He hasn't got the players, our squad is not nearly good enough to win trophies. We need quality signings and that is why IL is down under.
We also need to bring SL players in who can do a good job for us.
Until and unless we can compete on an equal financial basis as Leeds, Saints, Wire, etc then we are going to struggle.
We need that financial clout to bring in the same number of quality players they have if we are to compete with them.
This is Ian Lenagan's job, not Brian Noble's.

IL buys the ingredients, it's Noble's job to bake the cake.

People keep saying give Noble time - the perfect response to this is the person people have already mentioned in this thread - John Monie.

Monie took over a set up at Central Park that was at its lowest ebb and falling apart at the seams eg. having to pay a plumber to turn the hot water back on. He took over a side that had finished 5th the previous season added little in the way of quality more like Aussie journeymen and got them to Wembley and won the Grand Final in his first season in charge.

Compare that to Nobby who took over in similar circumstances yet has had the best of everything in terms of money and facilities and has failed to challenge for a major honour in his 3 years at the club.

To say we can't compete with Leeds, Saints and Wire is a joke when you consider since Noble has been at the club we have signed Barrett, Fielden and Gleeson to name but three, our crowds are well in advance of two of them and until 18 mths ago we had one of the richest men in England as our Chairman.

tbh if we beat saints I hope we get saints in the semi. Couldnt take losing at wembley to them and playing em at wembely will take most of the enjoyment out the day for me. Lets have em in the semis if we get there...and go all or nothing in the semi.

Would like a final with a retro 80s feel as well. Wigan V HKR would be a class final IMO the only problem would be getting tickets with HKRs 7.2 millon away supporters!!

I agree with your sentiments and am firmly wanting rid of the cancer at our club that is brian noble, but to compare the team when monie took over to the team when noble took over is ludicrous tbh!!! Wigan were relegation fodder in 2007, where as monie actually took over a wigan team already at the top with cup victories under graham lowe, so dont know how youve compared the two

Monie for a third term at wigan is a decent option to consider though...but is he too old now? does he still have the passion...and would he come to wigan?
