One thing no one could ever accuse Mathers of is lack of enthusiasm or effort. He never went hiding when he played poorly.
He seems a top lad and I think everyone at Wigan wishes him well in his future, but maybe just not tomorrow.

He got called a dirt rotten bas*ard for that tackle when infact it was just an innocent mistake.
I was at a christening on the Sunday after the game with a load of Wire fans and christ they didn't shut up about Mathers all day.
The lads not got a dirty challenge in him. |
