| ''Your elbow is the joint between your forearm and upper arm. It is the pivot that allows the forearm to move so stopping trying to lick it, you cant''
Should that last vowel in the sentence be an 'a' ?

| I'm proud to have been one of those 25004 in Good Friday 2005.
One hell of a Derby, one hell of an atmosphere, on hell of a game.
The one thing I love about the Wigan Stains derby is the ability of the fans to banter without resorting to pitch invasions, punch-ups etc.
Granted there's some limited abuse but compared to the bile and hatred spouted by some of the fans from a certain city east of here, it's nothing.

| Quote: jonh "As a Wigan fan i would have to say Hull v Hull KR.
Our Saints game and Leeds v Bradford have been pretty average to poor over the last few years generally, with 1 sided contests and not much for either the Wigan or Bradford fans to get excited about.
If we can get competative again and consistently make it an occasion rather than a wash out then there is only 1 answer, but at the moment i have to give it to the East Yorkshire clubs in my opinion.'"
The poll is not about which is the most competitive derby.

There's always going to be one thing we can agree on with our plastic scouse friends: there is nothing like a Wigan v Saints game in RL.
There may be passionate intensity in other derbies but the history between Wigan and Saints and the quality of the players from both teams over the years who have graced KR, CP and the JJB is unequalled (even if the majority of the legends played for Wigan ). The Hull derby or the West Yorks airport derby will need decades of top quality games to come anywhere near what Wigan and Saints have in terms of history.
Even though many Wigan fans (me included) are going expecting to lose tonight, you never know with these matches. Anything can happen - whether its Bobby Goulding being sent off for Saints but Saints somehow managing to rally and beat us or a 12 man Wigan side inspired by an unstoppable Tuigamala beating Saints, or Rads sensational match winning performance at Murrayfield - that's why these games are special.
Throw Gleeson's debut into the mix, add the biggest crowd for a league match this season and you have a recipe for pure RL magic tonight, whatever the result. Come on Wigan!

| what i love about our derby is that you can have a laugh with the wigan fans before and after the match. We are very competative and wind each other up, but there is no real hatred, just a great day out

| As one of the main papers said a few years ago in describing the Wigan v Saints derby.
Wigan v Saints is similar to that of the Celtic v Rangers, just less friendlier on the pitch rather than off it

im actually quite looking forward to this one now...no real nerves (yet) like there used to be before this game - but for the first time in a while I think it will be a cracker.

| Pretty obvious really. The Hull derby is competitive, with two teams from the city (i.e. it's a [ireal[/i derby), with the most passionate fans in the game always packing both grounds.
Although to be fair your derby used to be great (about 10-15 years ago ).

Can only pack as many as it holds.
If you want to see which derby is biggest, check out the latest issue of Rugby League World magazine.

Apart from Wigan, I've got more friends at St Helens than any other club. Pre-match, they are generally a good bunch and for a derby, everybody is generally well behaved and in good spirits.
Still, I hate them and everything their club stands for.
