I was much, much younger when Jonathan Davies scored in the corner at Wembley but I was there and I’m sure it was full.
I'm sure we used to fill it out so what has changed?

Is it any wonder they generate so much revenue with some tickets at twickers going for about £70 quid. Say what you want about the game but they can pull the crowds in for their international games and also generate a hell of a lot more media attention for them 2
Why can’t we get Wembley for our internationals this year instead of the JJB etc? We used to play GB games at Wembley and it makes the sport look a lot more professional imo if the team plays in the national stadium.'"
I think brian Moore said the other week when England played Italy that it was around £85 a ticket

| Quote: thepriestman85 "That five international games on the bounce isn't easy to win maybe? Especially when your playing against teams of the same calibre to yourselves.
Wigan can’t even win five SL games in a row never mind England doing it against a team of the same quality not an under strength NZ team or PNG'"
Give over.
For a start 2 of those are Italy and Scotland.
So that's the "Cas and Wakefield" of the Six nations taken care of.
Essentially there are just 4 teams in the Six nations that have a chance of winning.
So essentially win 3 games and you are guaranteed the title.
Add to this the fact that the skill on display was at the best "average" and more realistically "rubbish"..........
Now what exactly IS your point?

Well it was a good atmosphere and yes I was there.
As stated though, it gives the game more stature imo.
Playing internationals in the national stadium is important imo.

What's YOUR point?'"
You claimed that they get the plaudits for winning a mere 5 games. My point is that had England won 3 in the World Cup, or should they win 4 in October/November then they will rightly get the plaudits as Tournament winners.
Had we won the World Cup would you have deemed it insignificant as we only won 5 games?
Alternatively, is New Zealand's win insignificant due to them only winning 4?

Well Wembley is the de facto RL National Stadium. Wouldn't you agree?

| Maybe eventually the RFL could invest in our own stadium to play all our finals at and have the magic weekend there maybe and rent it out for concerts and varioous other things, it could make lots of money.

The same Italy who pushed Wales all the way last week or Scotland who performed well today and pushed England well into the last ten mins? Or the same Scotland who beat England last year? There are no 'easy' games in the 6 nations even tho you may think there is.
Quote: XBrettKennyX "Essentially there are just 4 teams in the Six nations that have a chance of winning.

So that's two more than who can win the RL world cup but yet everyone goes crazy over NZ winning the thing? Same difference is it not cause in my book it looks a hell of a lot easier to win in RL? If it was easy as what you say to win the grand slam why is it such a big deal to do it? Surly if everyone did it every year it wouldn’t be such a big deal?
Quote: XBrettKennyX "Add to this the fact that the skill on display was at the best "average" and more realistically "rubbish".......'"
Did you see England at the WC and you want to call that skill level rubbish? Put it this way so called world class players like Wellens, Gardner or Senior wouldn't have got in either of the Wales or Ireland backlines today.
So what actually is your point? Cause it looks like RL is miles behind RU on the international stage?

Wembley is the closet thing we have to one you have to admit that right?
Maybe we can't fill out an international stadium of 70-80k but we could probably get 50k imo which is still a dam sight better than using the JJB isn’t it?
Would it be feasible to build our own National RL stadium for use for internationals, CC and the GF? How much do we spend a year do you reckon renting out different stadiums?
We need something like that tho to take us forward.

Can I suggest that you research the term "de facto" then come back to this thread?
