23997_1287161421.jpg
Great game of rugby league. Fantastic atmosphere, Wigan were breathtaking and dominant in all areas for the first 25 minutes, coupled with us making alot of dumb mistakes, then fortunately they brought McIlorum on which helped us back into the game. I thought some of the tries we scored to get us within two we're out of this world stuff. Towards the end we had to force it a little and we had a few things go wrong, i.e Monas kick on the first for King and Solomona going off who was causing havoc. Wigan were clinical in their eventual execution of us. Proud of Wire today and gave us a little glimpse to the future. Silverwood was awful as per, but I expect no less. Tomkins is a world class player and by far the best english player in SL. Wigan are a champion side and would be a worthy winner of taking our title as challenge cup. Good luck over the next month and a bit.
:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_23997.jpg |

| Quote: Mugwump "Some of you guys are weighing this kid down with an insane amount of expectation. Reading some of the stuff posted in here over the last twelve months you'd swear he only has to put ten games under his belt to become the next Alex Murphy.
If you're not careful you'll ruin him before he's had a chance to establish himself as a regular SL player (the same goes for Saints fans and Eastmond).'" Tbh i dont think everyone on here expects big things from sam most just want him to have a run out and let him get a taste
Just think how he feels cause he knows he's good enough let him have a few games no pressure on the lad

10172_1376829585.jpg Dan Sarginson: "This is a fantastic opportunity for me to join the biggest name in the competition" 18/10/2013
Tony Clubb: "This is a new exciting chapter of my life signing for Wigan and I couldn't be happier" 18/10/2013
Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10172.jpg |

| Quote: Memony "We've got to master the basics first... we don't seem to be getting this bit right yet. I'm struggling to get my head around our lack of ball retention, I can't help but think that we don't have the right type of old heads in the right places pushing the team around. That said, it's a long season, and we're bloody early into it at the moment.
The effort seemed there and it sounded like a much improved performance than last week, if we keep improving I'll take it.'"
And soon to be four points adrift at the bottom of the league with the chance of top 8, let alone top 4 diminishing with every game.

Yes he does have a lot of pressure on his shoulders but he has dealt with it very well so far (albeit against weak opposition) I do think fans are willing to be patient with him as he gains experience
But I like a few fans are losing patients with the management because they aren't giving him a chance to play. He's nearly 20 ffs. The longer he is being kept in the reserves the more there is expected of him when he finally gets his chance/

| Play any half back you want, if they don't have any options with ball in hand their play is predictable and easy to read.
Any half back, no matter how good needs the players outside him to offer him plenty of options. We as a team haven't done this in years, last year even someone with the vision and class that Barrett had was made to look ordinary.
How people still blame the halves is beyond me, they're only as good as the team they play in, and without a packing making yards, and players offering options and creating doubt as to who's getting the ball, a half backs job is made 10 times harder.
If people think dropping a young half back into that cauldron of sh|t and then expect him to shine is a wise thing to do, well....
Noble is taking good players in, and wasting them with his negative approach to the game. We stand so flat at times we've no chance of breaking the line, and people who receive the ball receive it stood still. It's pathetic to watch, and it amazes me to think he still thinks it's the way to win games. Granted we got to 2 semi's, but I never thought we'd beat either Saints or Leeds when it really matters with the game-plan we stick to.
To break down good defences you need variation, you need ideas, and as a team we offer no variation and a distinct lack of ideas. For that I blame the coaching.
