I dont agree with that, he was bad, but he was not so bad that he should never play for the rest of the year, he will get his chance and then he will be out.

Didn't wreck his career though did it? He still got picked week in week out until he left!

i know, he had some bad moments but the lad will (hopefully) get better. I personally cant see him getting better but I'd really like to see him back to the form he was in before that terrible injury which most people seem to have forgotten about

| Felt it was harsh on Desi that day at Cas he was up against a really tall winger 0 Mellor I think his name was. But he never recovered from that - even though he'd been an international at academy level.

His other game was a 64-8 thrashing of London at the JJB? Not sure how he could have had a bad game in that kind of win?

Vaealiki repaid us for all his shocking games with that one try when he skimmed Wellens. Not to forget when he threw Jamie Lyon over the touchline the first time they played against each other then offered him a fight for no reason!

Was the week before the final at Cardiff wasn't it? Seem to remember praying we wouldn't pick him.

The only times he stood out for me was when he side stepped the Leeds defence and passed the ball for Chris Ashton to score against them in 2006 (on that try of the season video.) And that Saints game in 2007 on the last game of the regular season was his best he ever had.

True. Well overrated by the Leeds fans, as they do with all their players.

| How about Doc Murray in his first match?
That was the first time in years when I actually thought: "Crikey, we've bought a lemon!"
He probably played a few more matches that season, but he lost the crowd on that very first appearance, when he seemed to think that playing at Wigan's pace was too much trouble.

Whoever suggested the game that ended mathers' career was the wakey one?! The game that should have ended his career was millenium magic last year...yet we had a spineless coach who continued to let him off and forget his failings!!
At least it only took the wigan coach in 1997 6 games to realise murry was woeful....its taken the current one 'a season and a half not out' with mathers!
Though it is official...mathers is better than murry.......as that link proves murry never scored for wigan...mathers has ONE try so must be better
