I'd never go for goal at 6-0 down because of the obvious mathematical reason - you needed a try and you will still need a try, but I especially wouldn't do it in that game where the opposition are heavy favourites. We needed to take that chance and grow in confidence, maybe put some doubt in their minds that they will have it all their own way. Instead we basically said "We can't score a try against you even with a full set of 6 from 10 metres out."

I’d rather we got nilled than took the 2. It’s embarassing and to do it when we’re on their line at 6-0 down is as baffling as it is unforgivable

I’d like to know what’s the deal with Bateman being on the bench. If he’s fit enough for the bench, then surely he’s fit enough to start now, considering he’s played a couple off the bench already.

It really is a sign of just how appalling Lam is that guys like Bateman and Hastings will have never hit top gear under him. Hastings is a cracking player, he carries us at times but we can’t kid ourselves that we’ve seen his best.

It's been stated elsewhere that it is Matty Peet currently running the show and Lam is just the icing on the cake, this has been mentioned by somebody who is friends with a lot of players and staff, If so then Lammy has been ted upon from a great height

I don’t buy this, certainly on a match day. Peet stands there with his arms behind his back all game and it’s O’Loughlin running on, passing the messages on from upstairs when he gets the headphones off the guy who I don’t know.

Maybe the messages are coming from Peet and the guy with the headphones just has music on?

Peet barely says anything bar the odd chest slap to a player who has just come off.
