I didn't say or mean to imply that. He will be in the running for a place and will get in the 19 with a genuine possibility of getting in the side. That is IMO a different position to where he was previously. If anyone is injured or isn't doing the job MM expects than I'd expect Pryce to be given his chance again - not consigned to the reserves in favour of other players. That said it is still to early to say based on those four games that he's higher up the pecking order than Goulding for the reasons I mentioned in my previous post IMO. I don't see the contradiction.

What may mean he misses out on 1st 17 selection is it may be just a straight swap with Richards once Roberts comes back with Roberts at full back. We will have to see but though he has not done his chances any harm of getting more games I think its a bit premature to say he has gone from zero to hero in the space of four games (OK I exaggerate but you get the point).

Goulding and Pryce have both scored well when theyve played and most tries have been pretty similar from both of them. The one thing that will help Pryce keep his place is his defence. When Amos is back he will go to full back and Richards and Pryce on the wings imo and that trio will be very very solid defensively and dangerous attacking also. If Goulding plays the opposition will target his side whereas they arent going to target Pryce unless theyre stupid.

I dont really know what pryce has to do, he has gotten himself fit, is scoring tries and being all round pretty solid in defence. At the start of the season, we all said clean slate for everyone, and his performances must be a step in the right direction considering what we saw from him last year.

I think he has done pretty well so far this season all things considered.

When Amos is back, im sure he will start from the bench, and if he has his early season form that is a frightening prospect, I wouldnt like him coming on fresh after about 25mins if i was a defender!
