| Warrington fans are unbelieveable! If it wasnt so sad it would be funny. Not so long ago most were hoping Briers was off to Barrow so they could 'move on as a team' now he's the best thing since sliced bread. Tomkins isnt even peaking yet and he is as good as/better than Briers at his peak now. It may be your opinion but i know who i would rather have in my team. And i know who most other rugby fans (bar Wire) would rather have in theirs. But i guess we all know nothing about rugby then

| Like him or loath him, on his day Lee Briers is a sublime Rugby League footballer. I've loathed him mainly for what I feel has been a waste of a tremendous talent, the guy could have been GB/England stand off for years. He's capable of bits of skill and game reading that very few players in Super League can even come close to matching.

True. But we seriously underachieved last year, lost our first 5 games before smith took over and found it difficult to recover. Smith had no time to put his own plans into place, pre season had already gone. So it was damage limitation and he went for and won the competition he could realistically win last year, the challenge cup. This year we have had a full pre season under smith and the difference can be seen already. Last year's team would have lost to cas and beat quins by about 12 points. I also believe that HKR over achieved last year and predict a mid table finish for them this year, similar to where yourselves will finish when the novelty value of a new coach wears off and the hiding you take from the first decent team you play this year, wires next saturday, brings you all back down to earth with an almighty bang!

| Briers is quality when on form to be fair and he is at the moment. He's a t*t and not just on the pitch but that doesn't take away his ability. He can unpick the best defences in the world when he's firing and has proved it in the past but so can Sam and he'll always be helped by having a more level head on his shoulders.
As for the Morley and Carvell incidents I can't comment in the Carvell one as I haven't seen it but i'd be stunned f Morley is trotting out on Saturday night. It was a late stiff arm to the back of somebodys head and there can be no excuse for it tbh. I remember a few years ago Brandon Costin getting pinned for a good few games for hitting Long late after he'd kicked it and I thought he'd been unfairly treated simply because Long got injured. Morleys on Saturday wasn't a million miles off and he should be looking at a couple of games.

| I am really struggling to believe that any Warrington fan would rather have Briers (an overated old player who doesn't turn up half the time) than Tomkins (a young half back who just won YPOTY).
Briers reads and interception and suddenly there is no other player who can read a game as well as he can!
At least when we go on and on about Sam Tomkins it's because he has won YPOTY or scored 3 tries away at Castleford getting MOM or playing for his country in his first full season. I am pretty sure Tomkins could retire in 5 years and have a better career than Briers.

| I would right now given the choice.
He's always a threat and so very clever at reading the game, Sam might go on in the future to be better but right now its Briers for me you only have to look at the semi.
No way is Briers overated
