| Every time i get in to a discussion with you i'm on FM and you're on LW.
You pull me up on the little things rather than the general message.
In short
Nothing will change so don't be precious.
Otherwise you're going to go through life feeling a little worn out.

It's me on FM and you're on LW! Get it right!!!

To be fair, you were attempting to exacerbate the general message with your made up hypocrites. I don't personally see anything wrong with parents wanting other people not to swear in front of their children, I'd find it more odd if they didn't, tbh. Of course if they were also letting their children play 18+ games that would harm their position regarding swearing, but then that's why you introduced it.

I'm sure we can all manage to disagree about a great many things, including what is appropriate behaviour at rugby matches, without feeling worn out. I've even managed to ask other adults not to swear in front of my children, on the rare occasions that have called for it, without feeling worn out in life.

| What a joke of a thread! Question for the people who get upset by swearing - have you ever sworn in your life? If you say no, you're f****** ( ) lieing! We have loads of 'acceptable' songs that contain swearing, so I don't get why it's suddenly an issue.

| Personally, I don't see any reason for the f word in that song.
Five times in a roooow
Five times in a roooooooow
You went and lost it
Five times in a roooow
Would get the point over equally as well.

| Electric warrior, you sound like a busy body. The kind that has an oppinion on everything and an answer to go with it. The top and bottom is everyone knows that kids shouldnt hear constant swearing, but I also feel matches are no place for young children because of the bad language ect. (I'm not saying young children shouldn't be brought just a personal opinion) songs with occasional swear words are funny, abit tabboo and that's why people like them. If your going to tell people to mind their language you may as well follow your kids round your entire life. Remember back to when you were young, you would have heard swearing all the time, however you never used it because it was 'naughty' until you were at an older age. You have still turned out ok not wanting your kids to hear it, however it is just the excat situation, your kids will hear it and know it is bad, but if they have any respect for you they won't use it.

I have sworn?
Yes
Do I swear at full volume in a crowd of people?
No

Obviously people don't think they're acceptable, hence this thread.
It's something that's been brought up a few times this season.

Not quite sure that was his point, but congratulations on the over reaction.

Steady on, you're making character judgements against someone's grandson there, not making a point about language.

Well said. That is all this thread was about in the first place! The people who have dragged it out and are also complaining about dragging it out are the ones trying to justify the use of bad language simply because everyone else does it! I am not naive enough to think that we can stamp out bad langauge from society or shield our kids from it. To get back to the central issue of this thread, the issue is a few hundred rugby supporters choosing to deliberately sing a song with bad language when they have been expressly requested not to by the stewards and the stadium. This thread is not about any individual cases of swearing that goes on.
So in summary, why not use the words as Rogues Gallery proposes? As written that is a superb chant in the true RL banter mould which is no less effective for removing the bad language. That way everyone is happy unless there are people who still insist on choosing to ignore the stadium rules.

Your attitude is far more cringeworthy.
The tannoy says at every match no foul language - follow the rules or don't go to the game.

That's not what I intended to do and I apologise if that's how it's come across. My point was about bad language. I was saying that just because it's a sport, does that make it acceptable and if so, then any swearing from anyone, whilst at a game is acceptable, or something like that.
