| Yep, no complaints from me either. Well played Wigan.
Great game. You completely bossed the first half, before our comeback in the second, before you came back to clinch it in the end.
Enjoyed Gellings interview too.
For what it's worth I thought the Michael's try was a great piece of refereeing tonight, in the way he let Wigan play and 'score'. Others may have immediately blown to have a look on video, but at least he allowed the play to finish.
It must be the first time two tries have been feasible at the same time. Thought there was enough to show his finger did apply pressure, however we do need to get more consistency in how the decisions are made with the initial Ref Try/No Try referral.
Some big try decisions could have gone either way in recent weeks and we need to ensure they are not being left for debate within the final result.

| Well played both teams. I thought Liam Farrell was outstanding tonight.
Imagine if we could somehow pull it off next week!

| Grateful for the comments from the Hull visitors to this site tonight, after what must've been a disappointment for them.
It was a tough, exciting game played in a pretty good spirit.
Personally, I'm more than happy to see the Black and Whites back at the top of the game.
This is only the start of it. Many more tussles to come.

| Every so often the game throws up a situation that no one has really thought about. The last Hull try (and I do think it was a try) seemed to cause panic in the official's minds. Having awarded Wigan an on the field try the ref was instructed to go back and have a look at the Hull grounding. Why did the ref not have to make a try/no try call at that point as well, given that it happened prior to the stoppage in play? If he had done he would surely have called no try on the field, given that he had just called the Gildart touchdown a try on the field, and the grounding was looked at so many times that it is unlikely that the video ref would have overturned the on field ref. As a result a reasonable touchdown would have been ruled out but the letter of the law would have been seen to be served. Perhaps this is just a long winded way of saying what is the point of the law as it stands?

He clearly stated no try for hull, try for Wigan.

| I've slated the players and Shaun Wane for long periods of last season and this season. After 16 years of following Wigan i don't think i've ever been as proud to call myself a Wigan fan. Credit to every single person in the club who has made it possible to reach the GF after a torrid season with injuries. Hopefully we can lift that trophy next Saturday.

He did and going off previous decisions I still can't understand how he could turn it around. The more he looked at it, the more you have to think he's not got the concrete evidence to turn it around.
Thankfully it didn't matter but had it done I think there would have been a sour taste in the mouth this morning.

Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10174.png |

| Well played Wigan you deserved the victory. I'm proud that our lads gave you a game and proud they've given us our best season for years. There's no club apart from Wigan would get to a final with so many key players out. Your production line of talent over the years is incredible and just about every team in SL has benefited from it.
I will be cheering Warrington though!!

| Arr the highs and lows of being a pie eater. I thought that 1 mnute a brilliance from Charnley tipped the 2nd half into our favour, the one handed catch and the tackle in goal. Congrats to Hull for a great season I think the lack of forward power was their downfall in the end. Matty Smith made us all cringe but he overcome more adversity in that match than Ive seen him do before and I applaud him for that and I ain't a Matty Smith fan.FPN yes had a good game but all this nonsense about him being fitter next season?? He trained and played with the raiders this year, who are a hundred times better and fitter than us, so I don't get that? Anyway a big well done and good luck next week it should be one hell of a match. It seems like the two teams are a lot different to the teams who stepped out in 2013, perhaps no baggage in this one

FPN hadn't played for 3 or 4 months when he came here I believe so I suppose that's the point people are making. He looks a little heavier then in his Roosters days to me so again that could be an area he can work on.
I thought he started the game like a house on fire last night but he then let a few errors creep in. He has a huge roll to play next week! As important if not more so then any other player for me in tying to keep Hill and Clark quiet around the middle and to get stuck in to Sims and give him some back.

Nowhere near as good a Luke Douglas though.

Which Wigan players are as good as their Saints counterparts in fairness?
In regards to Douglas I remember watching him for Scotland in the World Cup and he looks a solid prop forward. They'll need more then him, Morgan and Matty Smith to get back playing the sort of rugby they want to play and winning the amount of trophies they want to win though.
There will be some interesting signings at a lot of clubs yet I'd imagine.

| How gutted did Stevo sound near the end? He must have been distraught that a Yorkshire team hasn't made the final. And his last ever commentary will involve 2 non-Yorkshire clubs. And to top things off a Yorkshire club gets relegated in place of Leigh.
