We clearly aren't favourites. This thread is just a real poor attempt. 2/10'"

| Saints are favourites lol
Probably the funniest title for a thread I've ever seen. We can't beat you in any area of the game at all. It's probably going to be the most one sided final in grand final history.
I'm glad we are there but the winner was always coming from your semi wth the wolves.
If we keep the score to a 18 point loss, then I'd be shocked.
44-6 to Wigan.

| Joking aside, when we played Warrington last year I was more than happy to be in the final, having won the C Cup was considered a successful season (you can't be too greedy), but I believe Saints have that under dog mentality and its worked for us twice in 2010 & 2013 so its not a forgone, 44 - 6 no way, 8-6 to either side maybe.
Looking forward to being in Manchester next week, I still have fond memories of the banter in 2010 in the pubs on Oxford Road, its the one occasion Manchester comes out on top of London

Saints aim should be to keep the score respectable which I think is achievable and will give the new coach something positive to build on.
Wigan will win no doubt about.
I'd love a classic regardless of who wins for the competitions and sports sake.

An underdog mentality is one thing but it can only get you so far. Yes last season we were rightly the underdogs BUT we still had plenty of real strike with Sam, Lockers, Charnley & Pat.
Saints will battle it out, there's no doubt about that, but it's also under no doubt that will we as well. That means fighting spirit has to be matched with something extra.
I look at the Saints side and Roby screems danger. If we can contain him it will really cripple thier ability to bring guys like Manu or Walmsley into play.
This game does not need to be pretty, we just need to rip in and force them constantly back.

As a city or as an occasion?
Manchester comes out on top in both circumstances.

| Living in London, I find Manchester is actually very trendy, it has a great vibe and is certainly my favourite city, but Manchester is tiny and doesnt have anywhere near as much as London and never will.
London east to west is the same distance as the HJ and Headingley, people forget how vast this place is.

I take you you prefer going to rip off Wembley? which is in a city where you cant leave by train after 6'o clock in the year 2014. Its an absolute joke how they treat the rest of the country, who by the way pay for all the facilities they have. Manchester has everything you need and its just down the road. I guess when you consistently lose finals there you probably hate the place...

How little do you know your geography. The city of London is approx 1 square mile. You speak of the metropolitan borough of London. So unless you live in the Citibank offices you don't live in London. It's like saying someone in Wigan lives in Manchester because they live in the Greater Manchester borough.

| I know people who live in
Kent/Essex/Herts/Surrey/Bucks who say they live in London.
But yeah thank you for your semantic geography lesson.

Cold hard facts, when it matters, this Wigan team is head and shoulders above Saints and with your injuries more so.'"
This is an excellent post
1. Insults a saints fan
2. Praises our history
3. Praises our team
More posters should try to include those points
