That's strange, I can't remember the last time I DIDN'T want to go to a Wigan RL match at home.............

Worked till 8.30am Saturday morning. Back in at 8.30pm.
£15 ticket to watch players I can watch for £3 on a Tuesday in the freezing cold and a competition we'll never win.
Had it been a league game like next week, then i'd be there.

Not having a go, but I just couldn't understand why you WOULDN'T want to go to a match, especially at home as I never miss home cup games (by choice).

Always going to be a crap game. Had I not been working I probably would have.

Took the Brother in law to Old Trafford last Wednesday ...... he didn't enjoy it one bit - me , I loved it and I'm not a Man U fan, but it was just priceless..... 5-0



Pre-match, in the bar he had the temerity to crow about the tics attendancies v RL crowds - I did remind him about a Tuesday night cup game one December when they got about 6000 on, which he dismissed as irrelevant.

Anyway he pops round ours this afternoon about 4-ish for me to look at his laptop, and I'm thinking "shouldn't you be somewhere else?" - his response, can't be d, not paying £15 quid to watch the A-Team, etc . Fickle lot these tics fans.


Mind you, it looked like only two taxi loads of them turned up on Wednesday at Old Trafford - it normally takes me at least 50 mins to get off E2 car park as they hold us back until the away fans coaches have departed - I think the tics fans left by dragster, as we were on the road inside 10 minutes for a change.

The town is a turnin blue my 4rse !

Michael Maguire is the best thing that has happened to the club in years and is the most important signing that we have made in at least a decade, more so than any player. He has transformed the club both on the pitch and off the field with his training methods, ethos and discipline. As a team we are much fitter, stronger and faster than last year and almost every player has improved. We also play a much better, more attractive brand of rugby which is a refreshing change after some of the boring dross that we had to put up with last year. It really is hard to believe how he has achieved so much in such a short space of time with basically the same players and he deserves full credit for that.
