I would of liked to of kept Gilmour the most out of those 3 mentioned

We would have a much more settled team had we kept these 3 now.

instead of hock and lockers?

Lets not forget Johnson and Gilmour are both about 4/5 years older than Hock & Lockers!

Think about how many 2nd row players we've had since Gilmour left and you'll realise both could have easily played alongside Lockers & Hock.

I personally would have much prefered Gilmour 2 have stayed at Wigan and give 10+ years service than see the likes of Furner and Fletcher being brought in as stop gaps!

He's not done anything since he left you lot. Had one good international series and then never kicked on from it.

You haven't missed him, both O'Loughlin and Hock (brain farts excepted) are better than him.

Furner is three times the player of any of them. One of the best second rowers of the past 10 years.

Gilmour, Wild and Johnson are all good players but when you compare them to what we have (or had in Hock) there's no contest IMO.

One side of the coin I wish we'd of kept one or two - flip it over and in a way I'm glad they are gone as it paved the way for the likes of Hock and O'Loughlin to make the first team.

I agree that he most defo is! Furner as you said was a top player but how long was he at Wigan for? IMO I would have rather seen a long term good player like Gilmour at the club for 10+ years than Furner for two/three.

It's not always about who is the better player but sometimes it's about building a long term spine for the team. Take another example of Long vs Lam- now there is no doubt who the better player was but who had the biggest contribution 2 their team? Would you rather have had long for 10 years or Lam for three?

As a matter of interest is Hock still being paid by Wigan? The whole story after his ban seems to have been buried in the archives and forgotten about!!!

He won't still be being paid by the club, during his ban he's not allowed to have anything to do with the club at all.

They've never come out and made a statement saying whats actually happening with his contract, I imagine we won't hear anything until nearer the time when his bans up.

apparently, they are due to say somthing about hock anytime soon.
