also seeing as I seem to have let you get under my skin, what is it with people like you who keep banging on about other clubs not taking us seriously, to be honest that suits me fine let them keep thinking (oh its ok its only cas next) don't you see what happens there, but no you probably don't as your head seems to be permanently up your own arris. Rant over, sorry Wigan fans

| George Williams is out of his depth, he has bags of potential but he lacks some basic skills that are required at this level.
Massively impressed with him at junior level but I think his flaws are being exposed in a big way in the first team. Ideally he needs duel reg in my opinion bringing Tomkins back.
I feel there is a massive risk of him not reaching his undoubted potential unless he bridges the gap between junior and SL rugby with some time at Workington etc.

| I was shocked how tame the Wigan pack was today. I was expecting flower, Micky Mac and dudson to come out hitting everything but didn't seem any fire there. Much like some of our performances against Wigan.
I think you miss Green big time, he's always a threat and feel like he's going to do something when he gets the ball but today you was very predictable.
Just wasn't a very Wigan like performance but credit to cas they defended their line very well in the 2nd half.

agree with all that. We played 1 out rugby and they tackled everyhting going, fully deserved it. Dudson isnt good enough and Flower and Farrell looked short of match fitness.

Got to agree with that, I think just about every cas fan was expecting the same kind of thing that wigan did to leeds at magic after all the disrespectful crap that Wane had been spouting all week, but it never happened thankfully.

Its not the first time that has happened though, it has happened on several occasions in recent years. Our pack can get dominated against some of the bigger packs imo.

In big games tho? You've not been bad in the big games I've seen in recent years.

| We lacked serious attacking options today. I'm not sure that if we were still playing tonight whether we would have scored another try.

| Well done to Cas. Their work in defence won them that game when most teams would have folded.
Wigan were slightly off their game. We missed taylor and the halfback combination with Williams at 6 misfired.
Big ask for him to come in at 6.

It was poor selection from Wane. Williams has been interchanging with MM so putting him at 6 stopped that.
There is also speculation on Mike's board he was carrying an injury.
Hampshire sat on the bench most of the match and has played 6 all his junior career. Pointless use of a bench spot
He also went with Flower who was obviously not going to match fit and Dudson is not up to it. I just don't get why Taylor did not play. He's back in the squad next week according to Wane.
IMO this was Wane's worst performance as coach since selecting Murphy in the Leeds play off semi final.

Agree, poor team selection choosing favourites like Hughes and Williams when neither are currently good enough to play first team big games. Shaun looked worried and knew he had messed up about halfway through the first half when the screen went on him.
Bringing back players from weeks out for such a tough game as also quite worrying, lack of judgement, loyalty to certain players but not others is quite divisive.
Taylor out but back next week??

| Wane biggest mistake was not picking Sam Powell at 6 unless he was injured and unavailable.
Even Wigan fans underestimate how vital he is.

| Think Shaun Wane got it totally wrong for the following reasons:
1. Making disrespectful comments about them in the build up - why?! He wrote their team talk for them there and I fail to see what advantage it was to us
2. Fringe defence and a lack of firepower in the forwards was a big problem. Our double-winning centre-winger partnership (Charnley and Goulding) and Scott Taylor were all out on dual reg for Workington whilst we have Manfredi, Sarginson and Dudson in the team.
3. Interchanges. What is the bloody point in leaving Hughes and Hampshire on the bench for 65 minutes? That was an energy sapping game, we needed fresh players.
4. Not selecting Hampshire at 6. Fair enough loads of fans agreed with playing Williams at 6 and gave only now changed their minds when it's gone wrong, but Rocky adds a spark to our team that other players can't. He should be playing either 6 or 1 every week while Green is out IMO
5. The attack in there 20. I'm not sure whether this is down to coaching or players, but we love looked completely disorganised, I could tell you who was getting the ball every time because we went up in 1s instead of 2s and 3s, junior coaches got on about that so I'm damn sure we should know better
Overall the worst knockout performance since 2007 IMO, and we have far better players available now than we did then. I still think Wane is a very good coach but he does have a lot to learn, hopefully this will serve to remind him to stay grounded and not be so arrogant as he seems to have been at times this season
