said this for years...why not just play the cup at the end of every month...that would build great momentum through the season, and is something you could build to be a showpiece at the end of every month.
End April - 4th Round
End May - 5th Round
End June - Quarters
End July - Semis
End Aug - Final
Surely that wouldnt be too hard would it?

for me you should always try to get somewhere in the middle of both towns, or close by.
reebok would be fav for me, then widnes.......but where then will they play the other game?......JJB sounds right.
but RFL will prob want one in yorkshire.......so im going saints-hudds at reebok or widnes.....and our game at gayfarm
Stains - Huds will be played at wire and us v wire will be at the galpharm i would think?

| anyone who thinks that it will be at the Reebok you may as well forget it theres no way Bolton will host us and Wire just before the new season the new fixtures won't be out till mid July anyway so they won't know for sure if they are home or not plus chances are they will poss have a pre season fixture at home just before the season plus they are gonna hold it somwhere that its completely neutral to both teams my guess KC, Headingly or Galpharm besides Reebok is usually only considered for International Fixtures not Cup games can't see it at all myself widnes is far too much of an advantage for wire Knowsley is and advantage to us and most certainly Reebok is an advantage to us can't see wire agreeing to play at reebok when its next door to us practically

| Did anyone else laugh when Jonathan Davies mentioned his career had come to being 'the ball bag holder'?
He could have just said 'being a ball bag'

As far as im aware there is nothing of significance end of june, july, aug to worry about, the only issue would be end of may with the fa cup soccer final, but we've negotiated this problem for this round anyway so why not do it again?
For me I would scrap millenium/murryfield magic, and have a challenge cup magic on the last week in april/ first week in may bank holiday weekend (significantly the old final date for the traditionalists) and take the first round of fixtures proper to a place like cardiff, where you could have your 'lesser' games that wouldnt get a decent crowd at the cardiff union ground, and the bigger match ups in the millenium. That would give us a magic weekend, on the old wembley weekend for the traditionalists, with a chance for every fan to see every team in the cup. Can you imagine what a festival of RL you would have aswell rather than just SL teams, every team mingling in cardiff, 3 games in the millenium, and three games in the union ground per day over the weekend!! Talk about being spoilt with RL!! Would be a fantastic RL weekend for all fans, would have the spice of knock out rugby, and would not have the exculsivity of the current magic weekend!

I think the reason given why we took it away from Wales because the Welsh RU did not support it, would that change for a Cup weekend?
