Its all opinion, but don't see anybody in your three quarters who I would fear in an Offiah/Robinson type of way....Both sides have good steady three quarter lines, but nothing that sets them apart in a big way.

I never said we were better man for man. I'm not saying those players are better. I just would not trade any players other than the ones mentioned.

Tomkins v Briers - The most exciting young half back in the game who won YPOTY last year and stared in the 4 nations, or an old player with not long left and a poor reputation?

Hansen v Westwood - Both are workers, both take the ball in well. Hansen is the best defencive SR in the league.

Leuluai v Myler - Leuluai is far more versatile and far far better in defence, from what I have heard he is also a great guy to have around at training.

You would rather have Lee Briers over Sam Tomkins. Sorry but i jsut stopped reading after that

I want both of them to play, I want us to beat the best you lot can offer. If we win great, it will instill more belief into the team that we can beat an above average side or if we do lose, we can go away and learn from it, either way Madge will take the positives and we will be a better side for the hit-out... Forget the fact that Briers is an annoying tit to anyone that isn't Primrose and Blue

The difference is that if Sam stays at Wigan we'll get 10 good years out of him.

When Briers retires he will look back at his career and must think why did I give 10 good months when I could have given 10 good years. He must be gutted he had to leave Saints as well considering the success they had.

He might have a good swansong to his career but for me he wasted it. Should have had far more test honours than 2 caps was it, 1 v France and 1 v New Zealand "A".

Briers' coaches have been disciplinarians (Van de Velde) and soft (Cullen) with him. It is Smith's method of discipline that has worked the best for him, obviously.

Overall you are right in what you say, although, he had to leave Saints. Goulding's antics were not so apparent at the time.
