| My tickets are not too bad price wise but fully understand its not cheap if buying for a family. Its OK paying a bigger price for a one off game like a cup final but this is multiple games over 5 weeks.
My Scotland games + others
Italy £20
Aussie £25
Fiji £20
Emirates SF £30
Old Trafford F £54

| I just plunged into the RLWC ticketing system this morning. Bought a ticket for Tonga tonight and the q-f at the DW. That's £125 I've spent and I don't think I can afford to spend any more when it's all on the telly. Of course you can't get the ticket scanned off your mobe at the Totally Wicked, so got to print out. OK, fire up the printer, not used it in ages... and it prints perfectly. In colour. Everything except the panel with the actual bar-code and seat number in, So I try black and white. Printer ink levels low. You don't say, Sherlock? So, jump in the car and head to Tesco. They have the B&W one, the colour one is 'Available at Customer Services'. Except, of course, it wasn't. Out of stock. So didn't buy anything, back in car, drive to Robin's Park, Currys. They have them in stock. So, an hour later, and £44 the poorer for the cartridges, eventually the ticket is successfully printed.

Every e-ticket I’ve got says you have to print them but it’s not the case. They announced last week 3 venues needed printed tickets but for some reason they’re then printing it on every email they send, for every ground. I saw people getting phone tickets scanned in tonight. Newcastle and Warrington were 2 you needed printed versions for. Its just all a bit amateur hour.
**Edit** found the email and it’s Newcastle, Wire and Middlesbrough you need printed tickets for. The rest will accept on your phone but the tickets still say ‘you must print these’ on them…madness.

| So I spent 44 quid for nothing? That's annoying. Still, you were at the game, NK? I really enjoyed it. I seemed to be in the PNG corner, there was a bunch of Kumul girls sat behind me, having a great time. If their dozy winger hadn't put a foot on the line... Pretty impressed with PNG actually, I expected Tonga would put put 20-30 points on them.

Yeah, it was a class game and great to see plenty of Tongan/PNG fans there. You could hardly split the teams in terms of who you’d rather face in the Quarters. PNG will be no pushover.
The ticket printing thing is so frustrating. I know a girl who works in the ticket office at Leigh and they don’t need to be printed for the games there but as with all the venues, my tickets say in bold print- ‘these must be printed’. There’s so much to admire about the tournament but there are little things here and there which need to be better ( no scoreboard or visible clock tonight being another minor grumble).

| I'd seen the thing about Wire, Middlesbrough, and Newcastle, but when I downloaded the ticket and it said in big letters "This is your ticket which must be printed", I didn't feel like like taking a chance and riding over to St Helens and risk not getting in if I didn't have a print-out.

| Also, the Tongan singing! Great, isn't it? I thought Lolo was good, but quite a Friend of the Pie these days. 10 degrees is just about the outer limit for me to get the bike out, but it's so much better at Saints when you can park right in front of the stadium, taking the car is so much more hassle. Seemed I was the only biker in the village tonight, though, not like when I've been there before.

| Just reading the Newshound; that's a fair summary. Forget about the disallowed try! That was harsh. If it had gone up as a try, it would have been given for all money. I thought there was enough to overturn.

| Been to Fiji Australia at Leeds
Went to PNG Tonga last night
Going to Australia Italy and the Warrington quarter final (likely Samoa Tonga).
Paid £25 for each tickets. Not bad I reckon
Might go to Leigh for Ireland Lebanon which might be the game of the group stages.

This is what it says at the bottom of my email re printing.
If you are attending a fixture at St James' Park, Halliwell Jones Stadium or Riverside Stadium, you will need to print your ticket(s) at home and bring a copy with you to the fixture, as digital/mobile tickets cannot be scanned at these venues.
If you are attending a fixture at any other RLWC2021 venue, you can either print your ticket(s) at home or download your ticket(s) to your Google/Apple Pay wallet.

| Just bought two tickets for the final, that was a painful experience, usually a breeze buying from the RFL but this world cup site is hard work.
By the way it says on the ticket it must be printed so I have done just to be on the safe side even though Old Trafford isn't on the must print list

| Ive been to 4 games so far and got tickets for Samoa Greece, Huddersfield qf Leeds semi and the final.
It literally took me over 2 days to get tickets for every game I have attended due to the diabolical app and website.
No tickets available despite clearly there are, unable to transfer to the basket, having to constantly change my password because apparently my log in details were incorrect…they weren’t.
It’s an absolute disgrace.
I don’t mind paying the prices to see the best players in the world, I resent though the effort I have had to go to, to part with my money.

| Yep, continually asking me to update my details, when I finally got to the buy a ticket stage every section that it said was available wouldn't let me purchase anything, finally just clicked on "best available" and it let me buy two, up in the gods but it should be a decent view.
Wonder how many sales have been lost due to people just giving up on the website, downloaded the app as well and that barely justifies the name

| Something struck me yesterday about rugby league, the relationship between, fans, clubs and players which I think is part of what is great about our game but also devalues it in the eyes of the paying punter especially when it comes to major events like the World Cup.
I went to the Samoa v Greece game yesterday. Just over 4000 in attendance and whilst it wasn’t a competitive game was really enjoyable event.
In the stands watching sat alongside the punters were a number of former and current top class players.
On the field there were some absolute superstars of our game. Too many to name representing Samoa. Genuine world class sportspeople.
After the game these guys were happy to talk to fans take pictures sign anything that was thrust in front of them.
My son got a picture with every Samoa player and was even given some playing kit by one of the players who reached into his kit bag and gave him it without prompting him or my lad asking for it.
These lads are as I said world class athletes yet are very humble people and extremely accessible.
At club level the players we watch take them field every week are very accessible, they live in our communities and are very visible.
I can think of no other sport where this is the case.
There have been many complaints about ticket prices, and I think we sometimes because the players are so accessible and visible to the fans that we take it for granted they are world class athletes and it’s a privilege to see them perform.
It’s a strange one, as access to our stars it one thing that is fantastic about the sport but is maybe holding us back from creating superstars in the wider sense of the word.
