It's not just the seating though. It's the stewarding. How do you get the fans into their seats with the two metre rule in place, and how do you get them to leave still keeping that distance and keep them apart on the concourses?

Wonder what the chances are that we'll play our games at Robin Park, rather than the DW. Not much point having the bigger stadium if you can't have any fans inside it.

If the football are also trying to play a condensed fixture list, then it may suit both parties. However I wouldn't want this to be decided unilaterally as it may be the catalyst to the stadium owners cancelling the tenancy agreement.

Doubt that’ll be financially viable for the Latics after this. If anything I can see this period strengthening our position regarding the stadium. I’m a Latics fan and these owners aren’t throwing huge money round. They seem sensible and look to have a long term plan to build a good academy and not spend money they don’t have.

As for the idea of playing at Robin Park, it seems sensible to me. The only point I’d wonder about is if they’d be worried about fans going down to try and watch games from a distance. It’s not as enclosed as the DW and the last thing the authorities would want us for 100’s of people all stood together trying to get a look at the action.
