Do you think the players will concentrate on fitness issues and working on tactical moves etc in the off period or treat it as a free holiday?

I say that because if i am George Burgess, im thinking "Right i have got a couple of months (maybe) to get myself in top condition and show everyone what i am all about" He must know people are grumbling about him.

I think you are right. I dont see any chance of anything like close to normality returning until the middle of summer at the very earliest and by then the world will be in such a state of shock of what they have gone through, nobody will care about resuming the season. This is something nobody could of predicted or has ever experienced in their lifetime, Its like we are living through a bad dream. The fact that we are even discussing rugby restarting shows that people have not yet realised the gravity of the situation. When it finally does pass, i cant see the world being the same place. Answers will be needed as to how this happened out of nowhere and right now i do not buy the bat story. We are in life changing territory.

I think we will be heading into a winter season for the first time since 1995.

With the peak anticipated for the end of May - End of June, we can forget any sport until August/September, at the earliest. If you beleive what some experts are saying, this will be around this time next year. It could write off this year in sporting terms completely.

These conversations must be had. Health remains the number one priority for everyone however life must go on after this.

What are the overheads from an RL club? Wages being the obvious one. Do Sky pay the money up front for the TV deal. Does the RFL keep this and pay it out in one lump sum at the start of the year? Genuinely not a clue.

Feel for all those booked for Toronto and Catalans too. Health must come first though.

If I’m honest I can’t see any sport resuming until September. Personally I think SL will just be wrote off for this season. A winter season will severely affected the following seasons.

There’s a risk of a few things here, financial being one. Interest in RL sustaining in Toronto, London etc another. If all clubs make it through this whole I’ll be astounded. We’re probably about to see a significant change in the sporting landscape.

Just on a side note; I wish you all and your families well during this pandemic. Fingers crossed for a swift recovery if anyone contracts it.

Write off the season, give the winners medals out based on the current place in the league.
