| My Choice would be Edwards as "part time" Head Coach for 2019 and full time 2020.
Farrell has just signed a 3 year deal with Irish RU.
Ford failed as a RL coach at Oldham.
Deacon, don't think so. Harris's departure made the difference not Deacon's.
Furner will go to Leeds.
Bennett won't come here.
Lam, never ever.

| Maguire as Director of Rugby for 12 months and Edwards as Head Coach with Deacon as his assistant. Would cost an absolute fortune but we’d shift record numbers of season tickets

| I have heard from a number of people that Furner is the next coach. It seems that Leeds' search for a new coach could speed up the announcement also. I would prefer us to announce it at the end of the season.

| We should go nowhere near any coaches that have been sacked due to 5h!te performances of their teams, so that rules Madge out also i get the feeling he would only use us a stepping stone like he did the first time

If you apply that rule you have to rule out Furner. He was fired from Canberra. He is the only coach they have ever sacked. He was lambasted for changing their style of play. (He replaced Neil Henry who would be a very good choice for our new coach).
I also can’t see it being Madge anyway. He had his time, he is now the coach of New Zealand. Plus his style of play is now outdated. His block plays have turned around at Souths and they are playing a much more attractive style of play and winning.

Are you sure, didn't he have a rumble in the hay with Lockers sister when he was at the club, hence his departure to Leeds?

| I'd be looking for an NRL assistant, someone to come in with fire in the belly, and wanting to make their mark rather than having allegiances to the way things are done already. I'm concerned that the strict professional culture Maguire instilled has slipped a bit with the Bateman and Tomkins incidents. With Hardaker coming in, we need a strong disciplinarian.

It's just what I've heard from a few people whom work at other SL clubs, could be wide of the mark...

I’m wondering if that’s the rumour somebody has got confused with when they’re saying Lam may have done a Brett Ferres. The only rumour of that kind I can remember was Furner involving Lockers sister/Andy Farrells wife.
It was a pile of sh*te apparantly and from somebody who had a few dealings with Dave Furner through work I’d have been stunned. He seems one of the nicest blokes you could wish to meet and was friends with Farrell after the rumours went round.
As for his coaching ability, I don’t know a great deal about it but I’d be happy enough to see him here based on character.

It was all that was made up by a Saints fan before the Challenge cup final. Another rumour that was spread at the time was that Farrell's sister had been killed in a car crash on her way to the final. Some real weirdos around.
