Your right and they did and i prefer the rule that way, takes out the opinion of the Ref.

I didn't realise they'd changes the interpretation. I thought it had to be either intentional or in other words putting your arm where it is likely to make contact with the ball as is often the case. Correct call but still harsh.

It wasn't great. Lots of mistakes from both sides, mainly Salford. Had Sa'u not messed his break up then it could have been a closer game but the two quick fire tries killed them off.
Wigan were fairly average up to about 60 minutes and then they chanced their arm a bit and played some nice stuff. I also felt they had another gear or two.
Salford were very disappointing, especially taking into account their recent form.

Frustrating to watch, as it could've been a contest at one point inbetween the opening try and Gelling's first there was a 20 minute gap and Salford started to get some possession in Wigan's half and continued to make a complete harsh of it. Think the Sa'u chance summed it up, Salford had the chance to be good.....made a complete mess of it. It was like watching Hull in last years CC Final thinking "stop screwing up, I want a contest."
Wigan provided some good moments to watch in the final quarter and I enjoyed Charnley chasing back on Evalds.

| Wigan got some 50/50 calls and Sau messed up big time.
Even if Lockers spent 10 in the bin can anyone say for certain that Salford would have actually completed a set in that time, nevermind score a try?
Wigan got better as the game progressed and Salford just got worse.
A remarable performance off a four day turnaround.

| How sad is it watching Morley now by the way? He should've been penalised at least twice for high tackles (maybe one was just a swinging arm) which he somehow got away with, and then he decides to hold Farrell down in the tackle, knee him in the face and then throw the ball at his head - WTF was Bentham doing not penalising him? I've no idea how he gets away with it.

| Salford didn't look physically strong enough in the second half. Wigan buried them for aggression, and won the collision regularly, knocking them back and forcing many knock-ons. Morley chucking the ball at Faz's head was the only thing I noticed him do all night, but then it shouldn't just be down to an old warhorse to set an example.
There is a good team somewhere in that Salford side, but they are lacking a lot at present.

| The Oloughlin sliding tackle incident should've been a penalty to Wigan--- Chase kicked the ball straight out of his hand without it hitting the floor 1st so it was not a 'drop out'!!!

Cheeky is one way to describe it. A minute or two before the stamp griffin knocked on. Flower was stood close by, his back was to the camera so I don't know if he said something, winked, laughed or something else but it really riled Griffin. There were clenched fists but he thought better of it. Then 2 minutes later he spots an opportunity and stamps on him. To be fair it wasn't particularly viscous but it was definitely a stamp onto the chest of Flower. Flower went looking for him after the PTB but thought better of it. Should be looked at IMO. Nothing too serious, possibly a grade A charge.

| Poor from Griffin and worthy of a game or two. It's a really sly act and people would think better of him had he just punched Flower.

Romain Navarrete: “I’m very happy to have signed for Wigan Warriors. As soon I knew that Wigan were interested, they were the only team that I wanted to sign for. To me, Wigan is the biggest Club in Rugby League and it will be an honour to pull on the famous Cherry-and-White jersey next year. I look forward to working with Shaun Wane and the players at Wigan.”:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_10172.jpg |

In the Grand Final, on around 60 minutes, when we are attacking the Wire line, Morley comes out the line and forearm smashes Blake Green off the ball. Bearing in mind Green had already been punched by Westwood in the first two minutes. Cheap shot merchant whose skill and pace have deserted him resorting to thuggery.
