Don't get me wrong I haven't seen all of Salford games but I worked at Wire v Salford yesterday in the press section in front of Iestyn Harris. I must say Logan didn't have his finest game and Harris was not a happy man. He ended up collaring him and taking him off as his performance was that bad. Sadly, as hard working a player he is I don't think he has the talent to succeed at the top level.

Logan played better when he started and got a few games together, although not often.
If he came back then he would be first choice 9 for 8 weeks plus probably.
It could well be that he would be a far better player then than when he left for Salford where he has been playing regularly.
As I said before, if we can get him back we should.

It's easy to spell Paleaaesina or even Leuluai incorrectly but Tomkins is not even a remotely difficult name to spell correctly.

Williams is not doing fine. He may come good and I hope he does but at the moment he looks a little out of his depth at this level.

Clearly the coach sees it differently. And so do I.

Williams has done well to an extent, after all that's exactly why Logan was loaned out, Williams was playing better than he was.

He's still lacking a few things at hooker but that's only to be expected given he's only just started learning the role. It's not easy to step up to Super League level never mind doing so when playing a completely new position.

His defensive work rate seems to be catching up with him though as he's starting to look a little lethargic. He's gone from making about 6 or 7 tackles per game in a dominant U19's side straight to making 40+ tackles against Super League forwards. It's bound to take it out of a player and I think he's been overplayed a little.

Ideally Tomkins would return (I'm sure you can recall players on season long loans as long as there's a recall option) and Williams could have a break. A few games in the halves for Workington shouldn't do him any harm either.
