Decent prospect?

Personally I know we're not going to win, so i'd love to see Tomkins play as I fear it might be the last time he could play against us.

Hampshire has played fullback twice. First time he was ok and second time he was excellent against a very poor side. Is it really worth potentially ruining his confidence by playing him in a strange position against better opposition than Bradford's Under 19s? Don't forget that the club would probably have Murphy and Tierney ahead of him at the moment.

By all means give him a run out but in a more familiar position. Maybe in time he will be a FB and maybe that's what the club see him as but I'd be tempted to give him a lot more games there at that level before putting him there for the first team.

This for me too. If he drops his first couple of bombs and Leigh go 12-0 up just watch our boo boys start getting on his back. Why not bring him off the bench in the halves once we (hopefully) have a roll on? I'd go:

There's a fair few rested there but we ought to still beat them fairly comfortably and it will be valuable gametime for Manfredi, Gelling, Hampshire and Lloyd

I expect Wigan to play a full team, apart from the players with knocks. Few youngsters on the bench, get the game won and then bring them on.

Common sense approach.

Yes but in the mould of a Trent Barratt or Blake Green in that he can do it all. Passing, running, kicking.... Seems to be quite a big lad too and has a great turn of pace like a traditional stand off and this is maybe why we're now looking at him as a fullback. He's still only young though. 17/18 I think.

Id give faz a rest for sure he's been pulling 80 mins every game bar Bradford we dont want to burn him out for the playoffs, Greens been immense of late so wouldnt want to risk an injury when we only have 1 player who can cover his position, and again rest lockers hes not getting any younger. Sam's not good enough at the moments so id drop him and send him to leigh on loan!
