Early days yet, I'd like to see where we're at a good six weeks into the season, but good stuff so far.

I've been impressed so far, my only concern with both our halves is that I hope they both stay consistent. I think that has been their only downfall at previous clubs, hopefully in a better coached team things will be different and for Green to stay 100% fit, which was my only concern when we signed him as there's no doubting his ability. It was interesting reading the match day programme when Brian Smith was coaching him and what Brian Smith had to say about him.

Matty Smith needs to keep taking the line on. When he plays well he puts doubts in defenders minds by mixing it up and doing that but in the past, when I've seen him off colour he's gone in to his shell and keeps things too simple. The rest of his game is fine but he needs that element to kick on.

Green just needs an unity free run as you say. He has a bit of everything to his game.

A good game with influential touches.
His low grass level kick down field came off Hodgson and went into touch. From the resulting set Matty Smith kicked the drop goal.
The dummy sent two Wire players the wrong way opening up a gap for him to give the ball to Farrell who had the easiest of touch downs.
Looks a classy player and if our pack can begin to dominate their opposition forwards I think we'll see we've signed a top quality stand off.

He was our best player 2 years ago when he got a run in the side and absolutely took the pi$$ down the right hand side throwing dummies and stepping past poeple for fun! Too good to play for us and if you were designing an ideal off half, he wouldn't be far off IMO. Strong, deceptively quick and a good step. Miss him already!

I thought he took the line on well last week. I was impressed.
