Thursday, Friday or Monday it makes little difference to most.
What is more important, imo, is that we see some proactive movements from both Wigan and the RFL on this.
We have the football fixture info and we know we are playing Saints at home. Let's make a decision now or at least soonish and let any potential issues fizzle out in the malaise of the pre season.
Also helps those who aren't lucky enough to have the whole Easter weekend off.

i think your wrong as these "football fans" mainly have it as their secondary sport after rugby.'"
 course they do.
So you think that more people would watch a rugby game than a football one? If Wigan were on TV at the same time as say England (then fans of all clubs are interested) that more would want to watch the Wigan game? You think more people play amateur rugby than amateur football?
Will next years World Cup have pubs wetting themselves in delight with banners and flags wverywhere like the football World Cup or Euros?

FWIW I don't care for all this and I agree with what you're saying in regards to support for next years world cup
BUT
If England and Wigan RLFC played on a Friday night I'd definitely say the majority of pubs in Wigan would show the Wigan game as it's main event. I remember England playing two years ago on a Friday night and most places had both games on but the bigger screens had RL on them.

| As next seasons fixture have yet to be published I'm pretty sure that the RFL will change our GF fixture, unless Sky conveniently opt to televise the Latics on the Sunday.

Of course it could. I have no idea why that hadn't been mentioned considering it was played at Langtree Park this year. I can't understand why there's talk of moving it to a different day when common sense says with Wigan Athletic playing on Saturday if there's a potential issue with the DW Stadium the fixture should be at Langtree Park.

I don't fancy rolling into work at 8am on Tuesday morning the day after a Wigan Saints derby.

Your SERIOUSLY saying that in the town of Wigan there are more Wigan RLFC fans than Wigan athletic, Manchester United, man city, Bolton, everton and liverpool supporters?
Are you having a laugh?
