I think that this strength in depth we have in the forwards is going to make a big difference at the pointy end of the season.

It certainly is and we should not burn the players out as bad as last year time for a rotation when all are fit.

This is where Warrington could suffer, they seem to rely on Moz being fit and leading the pack. That may be a psychological factor for them come playoff time. We have a system into which people just slot in seamlessly.

I wonder if Thornley might get a run out against Widnes, been a while since George had a rest and he'll probably be playing for the Exiles, and Thornley played in the 9s last week.

George hasnt raelly played that many games anyway with being injured, I can also see him not playing for the Exiles and having the week off instead.

Apart from Feath away in the cup, he hasn't missed a game since Widnes away at the beginning of March. I think the next run of games, without being disrespectful to the teams we play as we all remember what happened at Widnes, are an excellent opportunity to blood some of the youngsters a go. 2/3 at a time though, not wholesale changes and have experienced players on the bench if they are needed. There is talk of bringing Russell back for a couple of games to rest Sam, could also be a good opportunity for Thornley, Mellor, Spencer, Burke etc. Say play Russell, Thornley and Spencer against Widnes, then Mellor and Burke against Bradford for example.
