Wane has said he wants Wigan to be ruthless for 80 mins. I hope he picks a side that is capable of doing that against Widnes. It is a good idea to rest some of our key players, but I'd be surprised if he rested Sam and Lockers together.

I think it's important to rest players when necessary. We need squad rotation. No matter which team we play, there would always be a chance for it to backfire. I'd like to see who will come in for them and I will trust that they will do a good job.

You'd like to think it's enough to win but it could be an uncomfortable day.

There's no one who knows the youngsters better than Wane does, that's for sure. But I seriously hope we don't under-estimate Widnes too much, these changes can spur them on. But, in Wane we trust.

All depends on the start now. If we get off to a goodun we'll be fine, however if we let Widnes get a sniff, we may well be in for a tough afternoon.

Strangely I'm more excited about the game now than I was earlier in the week when it was thought that we were playing our strongest team. Gonna be interesting viewing today.

Only time will tell if this move pays off but it does make me a little nervous considering two of our best players are in the stands.

Sooner or later Wane's going to have to find out if the fringe players are good enough for first team rugby, better off playing them by choice rather than chucking them in through necessity when injuries occur.
